People always think that luxury handbags will always be repaired back to its original glory, but that is honestly never the case unless you are a top tier clientele like Anna Winters or something. You are just allowing people to hold onto and use a handbag that may be sentimental like a hand me down from grandma, or bought for first big promotion, or anniversary etc. I think what you do is so much better than just having the bag end up in a landfill or sitting in a closet never touched. You breathe life back into the piece and allow it to continue to shine. And let’s face it, the only people who will know are going to be Chanel artisans, or some obsessive person who has studied every single Chanel design. Keep up the extraordinary work!
There you are! I’ve missed your videos. The bag looks beautiful. Once it became that damaged, there wasn’t anything to do but replace it. I would be happy if it was mine.🐝🤗❤️
I’ve been watching you Steve for years. My hands shake worse than you yet I put ships in bottles and thread the rigging…..doesn’t affect me. I do smile at the ‘Sharpening of the Blades’ because I did that when I was at sea, hundreds of years ago 😊. Great seeing your videos bud. Great project Steve. Shine on.
Looks good. Doesn't matter two hoots to me that the design has departed slightly from Chanel's original. Extending the life of the bag is what matters, and now it's completely unique.
Hi Steve, you inspired me to restore old bags too. Just as a hobby, and not as professional as you. Be who you are and throw the whiners to the wind. Take care and thanks a lot. Greetings From Germany
Damn.. you upgraded it. It looked like it was found stuck under my grandma's couch cushion in the beginning. Great work! It looks much better! Owner is lucky.
The bag has gained a bold new look without looking like a repair job. The leather strips, trimmed down, are perfect and unique. Client will be awe-struck by how good it looks! Nice work!
I suffer from essential tremor and have done for my nearly 50 years. While it can effect my interests like photography and when I need to do fine detail work it’s something I cope with. It makes me chuckle when people first notice my tremor and freak out a little.
I like the repairs, they made it more unique, kinda like handwriting, we all use the same letters and words but they all look deferent when we write it on paper
My son shakes. He’s 28 now and he’s had that problem since around 5 or 6. Great work. I love restoring leather goods, especially old WW2 Bomber jackets.
I've gotten into leathercraft this year, largely due to your videos. I finished my sixth bag which will be a gift for my mother this Christmas. Have a sister and sister in law to make for too.
I think you've done a great job, the repair is complimentary to the original, and looks like it was designed to reinforce and prevent wear on the corners
That looks good. I would have opted for a design like the Chanel Boy Bag. Just a rectangle along the edges and embroidered. Would have kept the Chanel feel to the bag. This is still a nice compromise.
I love this. The bag looks so nice after it's hospital stay. Wonderful (and sustainable!) way for purse owner to get longer use out of the item that is clearly loved.
Very rarely have I seen a maker user a compass for circles, often they just have a favourite round thing that they reach for and trace. Coins, cups, plates, rattle cans, etc - rarely if ever a compass.
My uncle and a math teacher i had both called it 'shell shock' not like ptsd really but the shells/bombs/gun fire going off around them messed with nerves. They both knew ppl that were children durning the wars and they had similar shaking...not all of course but enough to see a pattern. Try learning algebra and geometry from a man whose hands shock when they wrote on the board...not as easy as you think. But man could he understand us kids. He let me out of sophomore geometry because i just didnt get it.. he explained that my brain was just not ready. My parents and principal thought with my iq i should certainly understand it. He stood his ground with me and said nope let her go to a different class and we will try again later. By my senior year i totally understood and was even taking college level geometry. My brain really just wasn't ready. Instead of pushing me and making me fail he let my brain and gpa grow.
Such a shame you are so busy with work. Maybe more and longer videos in the New Year's, assuming we aren't 🚀. Another great restoration. I have a old cotton coat, it's nothing special, but it needs cuffs, buttons, and some other repairs under the arms. We get attached to things. 😁
Hello Steve 🙋🏽 I haven't seen you in a while. I'M GLAD you are ok. Enjoy the rest of your day ❤️ they really got their Wear out of that purse. WOW that's incredible 😂 LOL.Excellent Job ‼️😃👍🏽💯
Another job complete! I'm sure your customer is very happy and at the end of the day that is what truly matters. I would love to know what kind of pen you used to trace the pattern for the added pieces. The Camera made the lines look white. I'm always looking for a great marking pen for patterns. I make bags myself with quilted fabric rather than leather. I've learned many things from you Steve, you have help me improve my skills. Thanks so much!
I began shaking at age ten when I out found out about girls. It has been going on for nearly 65 years. What was the better choice; putting the bag into your hands or into the trash can? Now the bags has many more years of use for the customer. Perhaps it will be passed onto a family member for even more years of enjoyment. Excellent job!
I've watched your videos for so long that I honestly don't notice the shaking anymore. I didn't know you grew up in Lebanon though. New viewers need to actually pay attention to what you're saying because us long time viewers learn something new sometimes.
I watch every video and really enjoy them, except when you trigger me. Ha. Have to say, the only time I notice you shaking, is when you talk about shaking. Love the voices. Thanks and cheers
My mom had the same thing with her hands when she was younger. It’s called carpal tunnel syndrome it trapped nerve endings in the wrist, she had a 20min surgery tiny cut on her arm and she recovered in 2 week no shaking after u should ask ur doctor if it gets any worse

I find it amazing that even with the shaking, you draw and cut straighter lines than I ever will!😂😂😂
I noticed his hands are shaking a lot less in recent videos, which is good to see. I'm sure he appreciates your complement.
It's not a chanel bag, thats a customized chanel bag! thanks for sharing.
A good friend of mine shakes also, no worries. 62 yrs and has never slowed him down. You remind me of him. You are both nice guys.
There you are! I’ve missed your videos. The bag looks beautiful. Once it became that damaged, there wasn’t anything to do but replace it. I would be happy if it was mine.🐝🤗❤️
This bag has an edgy vibe, so the embelishment was a clever idea, & adds to the overall aesthetic. Nice job Mr B;

Your right and Unique is good.!!
Rather than the bag continuing to fall apart and end up in the trash, you found a way to save it and kept the bag looking good. Nice work.
Hi Steve, you inspired me to restore old bags too. Just as a hobby, and not as professional as you. Be who you are and throw the whiners to the wind. Take care and thanks a lot.

I find it so endearing that you find joy in repairing handbags as much as shoes 😊❤
Damn.. you upgraded it. It looked like it was found stuck under my grandma's couch cushion in the beginning. Great work! It looks much better! Owner is lucky.
You know how you can upset more people use a knifesteel like chefs use to sharpen your knife 😄. You sir are an absolute legend.

New design looks better than the original design.
New life for that little bag. It was needin' some love. Your meathooks were just what the doctor ordered.
I like the repairs, they made it more unique, kinda like handwriting, we all use the same letters and words but they all look deferent when we write it on paper

Welcome back Steve! I have been missing you!
Lisa
I never would have noticed your hands shaking.....geez people....
You do amazing work!
About your shaking hands - I actually find it interesting / unique. We all are unique in our own ways man
I stopped getting notifications and have missed my Bedos fix! Love a bag repair.
I love the new look of the bag
At least the shaking doesn't stop you from doing excellent work. 👍👍👍🇦🇺
I've gotten into leathercraft this year, largely due to your videos. I finished my sixth bag which will be a gift for my mother this Christmas. Have a sister and sister in law to make for too.
That’s awesome

Perfection as always Steve. You honestly kept the Chanel integrity as much as possible.
The bag looks lovely. It looks texturally pleasing.

Very rarely have I seen a maker user a compass for circles, often they just have a favourite round thing that they reach for and trace. Coins, cups, plates, rattle cans, etc - rarely if ever a compass.
I'd love to see the cleaning+conditioning you never show that anymore!
I like your ‘hey men’ well done brother
Benign Essential Tremor. Typically treated with propranolol, if desired, and no contraindications.
Enjoy watching you work!

Amazing as always. I really miss more videos from you. RUclips is getting creepy nowadays
Hi Bedo! I am watching you from India!
Beautifull. Steve provides an interesting lesson for you. congrats if you are smart. what brand do you have.
You should pick up a bunch of old tea saucers and sell them as official 'ceramic patterning template devices'
🤣🤣
From Russia with love ✌️🇷🇺
Another one in the bag

Have you tried an Exo knife? Idk 🤷♂️ if it will better but, likely faster.
