    One of the best sounding s55 I ever seen! Sounds so much deeper. I have an F80 stage 2+ and when I swapped the turbos, with stock exhaust, the car got considerably louder and a little deeper. I'm really considering the AA single mid pipe and Dinan axle-back, but afraid of it being too loud, specially with the downpipes and new turbos. It's my daily so I'm afraid it could be too exhaustive. Before changing the turbos I had the equal length and REALLYY dislike it. I saw looots of videos before, really like it, was sure that was the way to go, but in real life, what a disappointment!! I mean, in some very specific rpm ranges I could see some appeal, but man, what a thin can sound, awful. Maybe good only for people who wants to show off for those outside the car. Got back to stock (was already stage 2 with catless downpipes) and its was much better. Now improved with the new turbos, but already a little bit loud when engine is hot, so that's why I'm afraid with the single mid. But really like the tone in your car!! And why did you go with VRSF instead os Active Autowerke? And did you saw much improvement with the Dinan axle?

      Thanks! Bummer to hear you didn't like the equal-length, I've actually never heard one in-person so I can't really comment on them. Sounds like a silly question, but do you have intakes or the stock intake boxes? They add a TON to the noise of the vehicle and since I went back to the stock boxes w/ drop-in filters the car is a lot more quiet.
      I ended up with VRSF mostly due to availability from the shop I was working with. It landed at a price point that was cheaper and for all intents and purposes is really the same thing as the AA single. The Dinan was an interesting moment for me because I figured it was going to be a considerable difference from the stock muffler for me but it really didn't change it much. The tone is slightly different but I didn't find it to be any louder, and if anything it really knocked out any drone I had with the stock muffler. I think the car was loudest when I was on the stock muffler, single-mid, VRSF intakes and the Pure 2+.
      Now that i'm stock intake boxes (really muffles some sound) and the Dinan muffler it's not nearly as loud as it was. With the valves closed it's very under the radar. I've been considering going to the new Valvetronic exhaust, mostly because I actually want something a little louder again lol.

    • @heitzke
      @heitzke  Год назад +1

      They all kind of work in conjunction, but I got more whistle out of the OEM turbos when I went to catless downpipes and opened up the intake/exhaust more. It was way more pronounced when I got the Pures though

    • @heitzke
      @heitzke  Год назад +1

      Good question - I used the SSR which WAS more expensive at the time. I think they're less now but I paid $1200 in parts for it and install I want to say was in the $2100-2300 range when all was done.

      haha yeah, it's not my favorite automotive exhaust note but I don't mind it too much. Appreciate the compliments though.
      An equal-length midpipe cleans up the tone a bit for sure. I may end up going with the Valvetronic exhaust at some point and dumping all my existing stuff. Changes up the tone pretty drastically. ruclips.net/video/Z_oWiQcV9Bo/видео.html&embeds_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fvalvetronic.com%2F&source_ve_path=MzY4NDI&feature=emb_logo

    • @heitzke
      @heitzke  2 года назад +2

      Here I was on the factory fueling system so I was limited by the injectors to ~620-630whp or so. I had it on a dyno but we had problems with the car spinning off on the cold rollers so we only did a few pulls. I just added a Dorch HPFP, Precision Raceworks LPFP and EU5 injectors so i'm about to start the process of retuning and run full E85.
