Been with my husband since my sophomore year! We just celebrated our 11 years of being together and 7 years of marriage on April 24th. We have 4 beautiful babies! 5 years this October 21st we will have been married. We met while working at a hospital. He worked in hospitality as a housekeeper (a great one actually); and I was working as a Patient Care Technician at one of the Adventist hospitals near by. I use to hide his housekeeping cart, in random places. One slow weekend on the floor, I worked on (PCU), we actually sat down and talked, and about a year later we got married. Our saying is, ‘I stole his cart, and then he stole my heart.’
The short version is:
My husband is good friends with two family members for over 20 years. He hit me up on Facebook after coming up in conversation as being single. Lol. Neither of us knew each other even though we hung out with the same people. We all went out and he dazzled me by telling me about his national tour with his band. I was enamored with his musical talent. He is a guitar player in two bands. We casually dated and I moved in after only dating for 6 months. Almost broke up during a kitchen renovation and got engaged two weeks later. We had our fairy tale wedding and are still going strong. This August, we are together 10 years and married for six. Best thing I did was say yes!
Was in a verbally abusive relationship. And found my love just in time. Been together almost 5 years. We have our ups and downs. But two bonus daughters and two tiny humans later.
We still try to dance it out together.
I met my husband in 1988, and we dated for 3 months broke up but remained friends. He was in the Navy, so whenever he was back in Virginia, he would come visit. I had not seen him in 15 years, but my mother died in 2013 and he showed up out the blue to help me through my lost. We have now been happy for 10 years and counting. He is my person and that's what love is.
I had spent 17 years in an abusive marriage. And I finally had the courage to leave with my two kids (6 & 2) and 1 suitcase…. Several months after I had left, the man I am married to now walked into my church. He asked his cousin who I was and told him for some reason he felt like he was going to marry me one day. He pursued me and helped me on my journey to begin to heal. He reminded me of my worth. We began a relationship and I was loved like I have never been loved before. But after a year, I decided to call it quits. I didn’t feel like either one of us was ready. I realized I still had so much healing to do and there were some things that he needed to deal with as well. We spent almost 3 years apart. He constantly tried to stay in contact, but I was just really focused on being a better me and my kids. Then almost 2 yrs ago God officially brought us back to each other. And this time we were exactly who we needed to be for one another. We’ve been married for a year and I’m so in love and so happy. I’m thankful he never gave up loving me
I met my boyfriend through his grandma. She had went shopping at the store i worked at, said she needed some help with getting dog food, so I helped her she then invited me to a church party. I than begin to hangout with her grandson and that’s how he and I met ❤️❤️

The first time I heard this song, it reminded so much of my husband and I! We were honestly on the brink of divorce, we had grown so far apart far apart over the past 10 years of our marriage. Then one night he came home and found me packing. That was the first time in years that we actually sat down and talked about our true feelings. The next day I heard this song and it was the “story of my marriage” all over! We have lost parents, friends, our kids grew up and moved away, and now here we are learning how to love each other again!
I then sent this song to my daughter, and now she wants to use this song in her wedding!

We married at 19 , bought our first house, and had our first son 3 years later. This March we’ll be married 24 years and now have 2 sons in college. We’re very blessed! I’m getting married this weekend after bringing our wedding 5 months forward.
Our son was diagnosed in 2020 with stage 3 Neuroblastoma at the tender age of 5 years old. My fiancé and I fought for his life to get through his treatment. 5 gruelling rounds of chemotherapy and 14 rounds of radiation and last week on may 19th we received the devastating news that his cancer has come back.
Now we’re fighting against the clock to get down the aisle before he’s too sick to be there. This song hits home for so many reasons. We’ve struggled so hard, lost jobs, couldn’t pay bills and had friends turn their backs when we needed it the most.
I’ll be walking down the aisle to my best friend with this song playing. Thank you for making such a perfect song. ❤️

I'm so sorry, Scott. My grandmother lost my grandfather 13 years ago this year, the same year my brother & sister in law & I gave them their 2nd & 3rd great-grandchildren 3 weeks apart. He was over the moon for them! My son was the 1st grandson he'd had in about 22 years, so he was ready to fish with a little buddy (though he took my daughter all the time, his 1st great-grandchild who was 8.5 when he died). He got to see them & know them 4 & 5 months, then left us unexpectedly. They were married 48 years. We never saw it coming. He wasn't sick. He loved the Lord so much & served Him from the time he got saved until he passed, so I guess the Lord blessed him by taking him peacefully in his sleep. He had the biggest smile on his face, so I know he saw Heaven in that moment between life & death & just smiled. He was home. My Granny is 10 years younger, so she's had to live the last 13 years wo Him & who knows how much longer she'll have to continue wo him (hopefully, selfishly for me, I hope a very long time). She's 78 now & she still misses dancing with Poppa. I know you miss doing the same. I'll say a prayer for you that the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart & mind in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:7). If you both knew Jesus, which it sounds like you do, then you're going to see her one day & dance through eternity together, knowing one another better there than we ever could here, which is so beautiful! She'll be waiting at the gates for you. My Granny said Poppa will probably try to hide bc he knows he's in trouble for leaving her lol. I told her, no way! He loved her too much! ❤️
We aren't married, but my lady and I can relate. From me being 2 hours from death, the loss of both her parents, the loss of my father and stepfather....we have been there 100% for each other the past 7 years. All of our children are grown, so its just us and the dog. But this song really talks about things that hit home for me. Thank you for such a timeless song, Alexandra! 🙏
I first saw my husband outside an adoration chapel , I was crying then because I just got out of a 5 yr relationship then I saw him inside the chapel with hands lift up praying solemnly then I utter a prayer to the Lord that when He would give me a husband I like that same person inside the adoration for sure he won't make me cry, 2 yrs later I married that man, that was 20 yrs ago

Oh this song hits home. Met my husband almost 21 years this November. I had just turned 16 one month before he came into my life and one month after being with him my father passed he was my rock and never left my side. We have two daughters and lots of ups and downs and in between. I am IN LOVE with this song ! My boyfriend and I have had a rough few months. I have cried so much , We have been navigating throuh this storm that has found us ... Bills unpaid, the weight of the world on our shoulders, 4 boys between the two of us. We have had both our cars in the shop and his work requires a vehicle ...my health keeps me home, I like to say forcibly retired hahaha. My best friend of 20 years , isn't my go to anymore. She lied ... my mom told me when it rain it pours! anyhoo that's a smidgen of what's going on. Alexandra I cannot tell you how much this song means to me. Met my wife in College, we spent my senior year and her freshman year together. I deployed to Desert Shield/Desert Storm after I graduated. We had a long and bumpy road but have been together for 34 years and married for 27 of them. The chorus of this song tears me up everytime I hear it. The first night I met my husband, I stayed over at his place. We went to lay down and ended up both crying to each other, in each other's arms, about the loss or decline of a parent's health. I don't think we knew that all of those nights that we spent crying together, for one reason or another, were necessary for our growth together. My husband is a very closed off man. He don't allow people into his life and he certainly doesn't break down crying to people. It was a mutual level of comfort with each other the very first time we met. What a friendship and love we have gained through it all.

03/05/2018.. the day my now husband and I met. Met online. Talked for 2 years before we met, and a month later? He moved in. I have loved him since the day we met. He’s my person, my home, my safe place when I think i just cannot go on, my biggest supporter to go to nursing school, and my best friend. We have been through lows, but we’ve made it through everything together. 10/17/2020, in the middle of a pandemic, we did the damn thing and got married. It was beautiful. We will be celebrating our fifth anniversary with a vow renewal next year in 2025. I have never loved someone more than I love Him. The future father to my children and my heart and soul. ❤️ this will be played for our next dance at our renewal. ❤️❤️

Me and my fiancé met back in 2016 it was about 6:30 PM and I was giving up on my life. I was homeless on drugs and I just got beat by my ex. I left the hospital and ended up on the other side of town where I met my fiancé, he was walking up to the smoke shop as I was walking towards the bridge I was going to give up and he grabbed me by the hand and said that I could stay with him but he was getting evicted the next day so I told him that I would pay his rent in order for me to stay whenever I need it and he said why don’t you stay with me and see how things go and then he ran me a bath and then stayed up all night with me and we just talked I took him up on his offer I paid his rent and we’ve been together ever since He is my best friend. It’s been over six years now and we have been through so much him and I are now sober him seven years and me over six years now things have been amazing and I would never change anything I love how much we have grown as one and this song is our wedding song your words and voice is amazing thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
