They often get as wet on the inside as they do the outside, haha. Of course, it wouldn't matter if they were hip or chest waders, you always have to go just, one... more... step... lol
We have heard from a few customers that have caught beavers on the 3/8 rods and recovered them. I am not 100% sure of the situation, but we personally have not had that happen in ~10 years using this systems... but in trapping as you know, never say never :)
Ryan McGranahan as long as you have rats and they are feeding, they will work anywhere. Set near structure is my biggest piece of advise with a baited set. We have another video that’s a small river line that I’d recommend.
Hi Hard Core Canuck - Thanks for being a customer! It's been my experience that Spring Rats are FAR more active in the Spring than Fall. They are foraging for fresh food and climbing on everything. I definitely have increased success after ice out. Good Luck!
Why don't you sell the J-hooks to go with HAGz Bracket? I just ordered them not realizing they didn't come with the J-hooks. So now I have to find them somewhere else and probably pay a bundle in shipping from that company. :-(
Sorry for the trouble Critter Gitter. We have recommended to trappers to re-use the j-hook from the swivel that they take off the trap when installing the Bracket. Our goal is to keep prices as low as possible, if we include J-hooks, we would have to raise the price and we don't want to do that as the majority of customers are re-using the original J-hook, so in a sense it would be an un-necessary expense for most.
I couldn't get any sound with this video. It looks informative but without sound, not. Looked for a mute tab, none. I'm wanting to know what the bait was on the first couple sets? Obviously you used carrots on the later sets.
+NADJIWON CRITTERCONTROL International Shipping is expensive for us. USPS currently is charging 24.95 for a small flat rate box. If you can find a cheaper way, I'll gladly work with you. Otherwise, I highly recommend trying Minnesota Trapline Products (www.minntrapprod.com) or PCS Outdoors (www.pcsoutdoors.com) . Both of them carry our products and likely can provide a cheaper shipping cost.
Duke #1, yes. Duke #1.75, it should - We advertise they work with most 1.5's and smaller however that's only due to large variance that starts to happen my MFG's once you get beyond 1.5's. In reality, they work fine on a number of traps larger than 1.5's that have a bridge tang end, if not a few swipes of a file will get them to fit.
@@J3Outdoorz after my comment.I see that I set to close to the service. Your traps were 2 or 3 inches further from the serfiss of the water. Thanks for your responce. It's Cool to learn even after all these years.....
I just bought some more. These things are revolutionary. You hit a home run in this one Jeff.
Thank you VERY much for your support! Best of trapping to you!
You’re getting every penny out of those waders. Don’t sneeze. Great product!

Oh take my fricken money already! need a doz of these for next year for sure!
I bought some brackets, fencing rod, but didnt get to try them. No boat, no waders and then ran out of time. Always next year.
Best of luck when you can make it out Tom!
@@J3Outdoorz tried them out in my barn and I'm impressed with them!

@@J3Outdoorz no problem.
Will beavers mess them up and take away small traps ?

You got some nice ones
Thank you
Do pole sets work very well on rivers and moving waters? Or do they work better on ponds and marshes?

What is the make and model of these coil springs? I like that design of attaching the trap to the fence rod that way.
Those are mainly Duke 1.5's and Bridger 1.5's in the video.
Do you dip traps in wax I didn't see much rust
Yes sir, dyed and waxed.
Great video and very informative. This is my first year getting into muakrats and I've loved it. My channel is very similar to yours! Happy trapping
Thank you!
Hi there I got some of these and going to give them a try this spring, will they be as effective in the spring versus fall?

Parsnips. Sorry it didn’t meet your audio standards.
What is he using for bait?
Parsnips, carrots or apples generally.
do they work with a long spring

Yes they do! Some of the other videos in my channel show long springs in use.

Apple sets bring in different critters and more ducks than any thing ells form my experience.
Any bait can bring in any critter, I have yet to catch a duck in a baited rat set. Trap too close to rod maybe? Ducks south for the winter? I dunno.

Good Idea, get ready to be copied, sad part of coming up with something new and cool. Cheers
Thanks, we have been out since 2015. We have had several attempts at infringement on our patent and will defend it.
