I broke up with my girlfriend and have regretted it every moment of my life since. It’s destroyed me, but I learned that I am an avoidant from it and the breakup had to happen the way it did. I could not hear her trying to help me while we were together, words can’t change some things but pain always can. I had to lose her to hit rock bottom and seek serious help with a therapist for the past year to tear down this wall I built around my heart since childhood. And now that the wall is gone my exposed heart hurts even more for losing her. I miss this girl so much and want her back but I know that’s selfish of me.
