    “100% heavy metal - 0% bullshit!” - BATTLE BEAST’s formula is simple, but very effective; and with their enormously catchy, riff-laden songs coupled with Noora Louhimo’s unique voice, these young Finns have become a flagship of modern heavy metal over the past few years.
    With »No More Hollywood Endings«, the group cements their status as unstoppable force, showcasing their magic touch for writing endlessly catchy songs once again, without repeating themselves. This record includes everything the band needed to take the next step to conquer the big halls of the world. In the end, one thing’s for sure: Although BATTLE BEAST’s new record may not purely contain “100% heavy metal”, but definitely “0% bullshit”!

    How do you guys think, why Finnish metal music is so popular?

    • @ALMStudios
      @ALMStudios  3 года назад

      @pete M3rlin That's a nice observation, my friend. Finland is also known to have largest number of metal bands per capita in Europe. It is quite popular in the country and internationally Finland is known thanks to its music scene. As many other industries in Finland , music industry is supported by a number of union organizations as well. It is different around the world though. There are also great metal bands in Portugal and hopefully we get to hear more about them and new ones too. Glad to see you in the comments,my friend 🙏

    There's been some sort of Finnish romanticism boom in Japan, not just in music. Part of it is the exotic nature, but then the nature is similar in many Arctic circle countries. I think the Japanese see something they can understand and identify with Finnish culture, mannerism and values of the people. Also Japanese words are easy for Finns and vice versa and hence we have plenty of similar words and names. Probably Finnish bands' names and lyrics come easy for the Japanese. And no, Finnish and Japanese are not related languages. Finnish is also not related to Romance languages, but Italian and Spanish words and sounds also come easy for Finns.

      Well said, my friend. Heard several times from Japanese people that they find Finnish culture a rather close in its respect for the personal space and appreciation for punctuality and being on time. There are deffinetely great things to learn from this and take notice. Appreciate your comments!

    There's wonderful metal bands everywhere, but yeah in Nordic countries it is more popular genre than elsewhere, and in Finland even more popular than in other Nordic countries.
    Most influence of Nordic countries' music culture and mythology is of course found in folk metal, but it radiates to other subgenres as well. I think classically influenced symphonic metal is popular in Europe and Latin America, while pop and rock influenced metal is popular in English speaking countries.

      Finland proved to be quite independent and successful in producing its own quality metal music that is well known around the world. But it is true that Sweden has great metal scene as well. Any particular bands come to your mind when you think of Swedish metal bands, my friend?

      @@ALMStudios I was joking, sorry 🤭. I actually think Sweden and Finland got the best metal.
      When it comes to swedish metal bands, i prefer In flames, Meshuggah, Sabaton and Orbit culture. One band from Finland i listened alot to was Turisas
