These finnish people are like mythological figures to me (except for Jari, I know him from Wintersun).I like the new Ensiferum too, but that is a different band. Two good bands, one of which is gone.

That was the first Ensiferum song I heard (then Death and the Healing not long afterwards...took me years before I realized I was listening to the same guy XD), and I don't think it's ever been performed live with Jari (the only one who can do those awesome power metal screams right).

Unfortunately I think he left the band right after the Iron album was recorded, that's why there's not a lot of live Iron stuff with Jari :( Then again we have Wintersun now so it's not like it's a total loss!

Anyone noticed that the intro is actually a part from Land Of Snow And Sorrow. Was at this gig back in 2003, but never realised before what this song was, took only 17 years :D. I think they played this intro couple times during those days. Well it never ended up been an Ensiferum song after all. By the way this Jari's last Ensiferum gig.
Jari is the gem that made Ensiferum so good and special
and what he did with wintersun is just amazing. Him and Laiho are the best guitarist in metal nowadays

It's a shame.

I love today's Ensiferum, but when Jari was in the band it was even better.
The best thing to happen to the world is Jari leaving Ensiferum. Now we have Wintersun.
