On TA he definitely got 100km and 200km first. But if I'm not mistaken TA only tracks accounts that have used the site before. I could be wrong though and it's always hard to verify who was actually first since someone just hacking the achievements can mess up the percentages on XBox.

in a serious answer, I think AH became a grind with scheduled videos and a need to get things out fast and doing games they maybe aren't totally invested in. with this they do what they want when they want, so the interest and excitement is there
to be fair, if they had posted this on the old main AH channel it would just be comments complaining about wheres mibecraft/gta/gmod
@@sams-pg7hjExactly this is what AH used to be before they got bought out and forced into making the same weekly videos that become boring for both them and viewers. It’s like Geoff has his baby back again albeit smaller it’s still just as much fun to watch as the old days.

I like Trucks as much as everyone else and I'm sure there's just a lot of content because of the impending shutdown, but I kinda wish they'd release something other than Trucks or Moving Out.

Idk if it's the dev or Microsoft/Sony, but someone has to prove the achievement is possible before the game is released, so it's never really 0.00

( 24:34 ) Here for the awd vs 4x4. 4x4 vehicles tend to have 3 dedicated drive modes. 2x (rear wheel drive) for on road driving. And then 4x4 high and 4x4 low for off road which changes through a transfer case which is normally a switch or lever. Awd cars like a Subaru drive all wheels all the time with open or limited slip differentials.

@@TheManTheMythD a 4x4 truck drives the rear wheels normally for day to day on road driving. Once you engage the transfer case which sits behind the transmission. It engages the front driveshaft and couples it with the already working rear driveshaft and that drives all the wheels at the same time. Awd cars like a Subaru send power to all 4 wheels all the time but have open differentials at each end of the car so you don’t get the wheel hop(stuttery tight steering) you get with a 4x4 truck when 4x4 is engaged. I’m sure @engineeringexplained has a good video about this
@@TheManTheMythD To massively oversimplify, 4-wheel drive typically sends 25% of power to each wheel while all-wheel drive might split the power between front and rear but each wheel will get more power when spinning. Imagine a car driving in a circle, with AWD more power will be sent to the outer wheels because they're spinning faster whereas 4WD will keep an even split.
It's insane and impressive at the same time watching him brute force his way through things when everything could be so much easier if he put the time into paying any sort of attention.
This might be the last time we see this channel hunt an achievement. Glad I could be here to see this, even if it is the middle of the night where I am.

What's up with all the solo-Andrew content lately?
One fun fact about the achievements currently, they're completely messed up currently. When Exp came out it was rough and in desperate need of some patches.
I managed to be first in getting every achievement done on the 11th. (I was 2nd on the 100km/200km ones and it was fun seeing Andrew ahead of me) 3 other people also got everything done as well shortly after I did.
A patch was released a few days later (15th/16th) to fix some things. In the process achievement tracking for most achievements was broken. Since then it's been just about impossible for anyone to get the achievements done since if the game restarts progress is reset. It looks like next patch will finally fix it at long last.

Watching Andrew play is the most frustrating thing to watch. It's like he deliberately takes the most random path and winches to everything to move 300 feet in an hour. 😅
F1 cars have 4 wheels. There were some wacky designs in the 70s and 80s that used 6 wheels, with 4 tiny front wheels that all steered. They never really panned out though.
I'm hoping to see more co-op trucks.

On the 4x4 or AWD topic...to put it extremely simple, 4wheel drive every wheel can move/drive individually while All Wheel Drive means all wheels move together, for Off-road , trail, and overlander applications, 4wd is better because you can apply torque to only the wheels that have traction, or are touching the ground
You're backwards, actually. 4x4 locks the differential, usually so that even if one wheel is off the ground in either the front or the rear, it will still spin the one on the ground. All wheel has the limited slip, and will only apply torque to the wheel with the least traction (none in this hypothetical.) You want 4x4 for off roading, not all wheel.
@@Twargan i didn't go into diff, to keep it simple, but that's exactly what i said though... 4wd is the one for off-roading, same with how 4wd will apply power to the wheels touching the ground

Also, you're the 0.01% that earned that achievement. It can't show 0.00%, because by earning it, you've made it not 0.00%. If this was a game that'd been released and widely played, you might be able to get it to say 0.00% due to math rounding errors, but you yourself said it was early access.
4 wd and awd are different. 4wd front and rear axles are locked to the same speed. Awd has a center differential.

I wonder how faithful the maps are. The Page Arizona area, including Wahweap is beautiful.
I tried looking up Wahweap Bay on Google Earth and wasn't able to find anything. Maybe didn't look hard enough but I'm guessing the maps are loose generalizations of areas.
There are no real definitive rules to the nomenclature however typically AWD will be all wheels all the time, like a Subaru; where as 4WD will be selectable between 2WD and 4WD on the fly and will in general be more capable than AWD.
It’s sort of like going back in time. When it was all about the hunt for the pop.

I run into questions like this a lot when I garden. Usually the answer would be something like they all produce fruit but some are specifically bread to produce fruit. Like you can juice any orange but some are made for juicing or any immature bean is a green bean but there are specific green bean plants

9:42 fruits are made by flowering plants. The flower is pollinated and produces a fruit. So cacti aren’t fruit, but certainly some of them can produce a flower and make a fruit. Likely a specific one with a rather unimaginative fruit name.

I’m living in the carribean at the moment alot of cactus here. I saw a fruit on one. Picked it. Didn’t realize the FRUIT ALSO HAS TINY NEEDLES. Not painful. But these micro hair thin needles in my fingers that would hurt when I picked anything up. Had to use tape to get them out. Didn’t even try the fruit.

I don't understand the state of this channel, they've been putting out more content than they did when the company was alive...
The reason for that is on Mondays, they would post a FIRST only video on the RT site and nothing RUclips, but as of April 15th, no more exclusive FIRST content will be posted to the RT site. So any videos that would be posted to RT exclusively is now just being posted to RUclips. I imagine other RT properties are doing something similar

The jack item seems to ruin the struggle of snowrunners a bit. No need to be careful or tactically winch yourself upright, just use a jack and drive like an animal. Not sure how I feel about it.
Don't worry, Saber didn't do a great job at implementing it so there's a 50/50 chance it won't help. Sometimes can't move the cursor to place the truck somewhere else and all you can do is drop it from 30 feet in the air and hope it doesn't flip back over after bouncing from slamming into the ground.

Nope, can't warp between areas like you could in SnowRunner. So if a truck is left in a different area you can't hop to it.

It isn't the same with just one person. No offense... it just doesn't hold my attention as much (No real entertainment or not something I can't read)... I think this is a good single player game, for the person who is playing the game. Essentially, it feels like watching this is a chore.

@@drakethedrake yeah. Thats what i was thinkong. Most of the people who've been on the lets play channel have been on both the IT/production side of things as well as been in front of the camera so id imagine they can throw something together if they want to.

Is the game performance stuttery or is that just the recording?
Exp had pretty bad performance issues when it came out. There was that framerate tick which was unbearable. Only way to fix it was by setting your console's internet off and on. And the patch that fixed it a week after the game came out broke achievements.
