8:15 shows the knife
Love that you give away all this stuff, breaks my head that you dont give away to us Aussies
I'd feel better on the scales if they used full steel liners. GRN/ FRN feel good in the hand and can be shaped and textured well, but need a bit of strength behind them. Both Spyderco and Cold Steel do that well.
My biggest issue with Benchmade is their QC…it’s horrible. It’s suppose to be made in the USA so you’d think the QC was on point, but it’s not. Don’t want to hear about the warranty. Who wants to send their knife in for months when it should of been right the first time (USA made)
Thank you for the video.
I have a Taggout and like it a lot.
I’m not sure that box was worth $200…
That box service seems like a fun idea for a deployed service member.
Heck I'm still carrying a Benchmade 720, the precursor to the Griptilian but in aluminum and ATS-34. Of all my Benchmades, that's my favorite. Of course I carry different knives as well. The QSP Penguin is always in my left pocket, great work knife, but my right pocket changes usually weekly. There are too many good knives to pick a favorite.
A plastic crooked river for 170$
That’s Benchmade for you
"It's a firearm on your hip... there are a million opportunities to use it" Broke out in a cold sweat lol
Great gear haul! I was curious about CPM154 on my Benchmade Table knife and glad to hear it's good stuff. My favorite Benchmade fixed blade for the money is also a hunt series, the Steep Country 🤙
Oh HUNT. I thought you discovered something else.🤣🤣🤣
He ain't lying about the power outages. MC is the only YT dude I've seen film a video with no electricity. 😂
The Rivon flashlight they got ripped off of your keyring is probably between your seat and the consul of your vehicle
Isn't a kiridashi supposed to be chisel ground?
I'm the same way a flashlight in every room
I believe the red light on the Lumintop Frog is actually a 'charged' indicator, and also helps locate the flashlight in the dark which is a brilliant feature imo.
I'm the same. I'll save my money and spend it on a quality knife, and edc a $20 to $40 light, and also watches I'll save my money and buy my G-Shocks because I'd rather have an EDC blade that has good steal and holds an edge.
I have the fullsize Taggedout in S45VN and G10 and it's fantastic. Excellent slicer.
The Benchmade mini Taggedout is a great knife but it should cost no more than $100.
Benchmade knives are all made in the USA, they have a great warranty and repair system, they pay their employees who also happen to be American well. Don’t compare a USA made brand pricing to Asia made knives, could they possibly lower prices a little… maybe but Some American worker for that company might have to take that hit. Don’t buy benchmade if you don’t want, but this weird knife boy vendetta against Benchmade seems strange. Benchmade is a huge reason the industry in this country is where it is and there is a reason their designs are so often copied. Also before you start say Kershaw, Spyderco, etc have American made knives of similar specs for less, keep in mind that both those companies do the majority of their business manufacturing overseas, those margins from overseas made products with the bulk of their business offsets their need to get a viable margin on their USA products thus the lower prices. If Kershaw or Spyderco… etc, made everything in the USA their prices would likely look a lot like Benchmade.
Are you suggesting spyderco and kershaw ‘take a loss’ on their USA made knives because they sell larger quantities of foreign made knives?
It's not just us knife boys, the gun guys I know always bitch about them destroying guns for the government or something like that. I have 2 Benchmades laying around 1 is a Balisong so I don't hate them but they are definitely overpriced as hell compared to other American companies like Hogue, Kershaw, Buck and even companies like Pro-tech.
Benchmade has never been cheap but it was worth the price. I can still remember when I got the Benchmade 630 Skirmish, what a great knife. The last Benchmade I bought (twice) was the Benchmade 375-1 Adamas, CruWear with 63-65 hrc, a really good all-steel knife. It will probably be the last Benchmade for me for a while, the new knives don't appeal to me and the quality and the price, there are so many better ones.
@@nachoisme no not a loss but they can offset the margin they need on the USA made stuff because their margin on overseas stuff is more profitable.
I'm still carrying the WE Rekker I got in a previous box. I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of the Frog, but Lumintop is a great brand. I have the AA 3.0 and a lightweight knife in my pajama pockets every day.
sticks are also pretty versatile tools too
Exceptionally versatile.
After losing a couple flashlights that same way I upgraded to one of those little titanium shackle things you see all over amazon... so far so good
Would love to see a comparison between the tagged out and the new Ozark Trail crossbar lock knife from Walmart for $10
Cbrx uploaded a video today.
If you can find them around
I don't know what all the fuss is about with Benchmade but lemme tell you this right now, right here.
Benchmade has my whole left nut and my attention. Mine saved my life and I won't trust anythin else besides Benchmade. It goes where i go everyday.
What model do you have and what happened if it's okay to ask
Lol they got a deal on those orange ones because they couldn't sell them probably
Looks like my 10 ozark trail
Note to self: “Versatile” is. Cool👍🏻
I contacted Benchmade customer support about some lock stick on my bug out. He gave me some pointers and said I could try to fix it myself taking it apart and it wouldn't void the warranty. He sent me a return label and said if I can't fix it to send it in, no problem. Best warranty in the business. You guys can keep your hogue deka
The best warranty in the knife business is Esee's fixed blades. Abuse it, break it, explode it, whatever you do, they will send you a new one.
Yeah. I don't necessarily agree with their pricing but their support was some of the best I've ever dealt with, quickly sending me the part I needed (no questions asked), along with a couple of spares and some extra hardware. In contrast, I've been trying to get some hardware from Cold Steel for half a year and am currently on my third attempt. :(
4:12 Yes MC the flashlight indeed runs on batteries and not magic :)
@metal_complex do you want to review a Benchmade 42? It's never been used so it would be a very good intro into the bailsong world.
Loved Benchmade. Past tense. They are not worth the price they charge, they just arent.
Still carry my over 25 year old 720 but never carry my 2023 940-2 G10. You are absolutely correct. I do like my Superfreek in M4, however. Lol
Pretty sure they just sent you that because of all the talk going around about that ozark trail knife.
you hand all bobbeling around while you talk and im here trying to read the paper and i almost yell at the screen before i call myself dumb and pause the video.
Cheers!
The patch is a flame
I can basically walk into a store and buy that knife for $10. granted it has less quality blade steel but that still does not justify that price. you are literally paying over a $100 for a butterfly. I really can't stand benchmade if you can't tell.
8.8 for a box top slap
Great video man 👍
Not a Benchmade fan but I love you
Never understand Benchmade obsession with grivory. Worst handle material available.
It’s cheap.
First😂 but honestly, I’ve been loving the benchmade content lately
benchmade is such a joke
Get a bugout if you can afford it. They are sick
@@golf369I had one and sold it after an omega spring broke. Won’t buy axis locks anymore.
@@golf369they feel like a you and it’s way over priced
Why anyone would buy a buyout when you can get a Kizer is beyond me
Jokemade is such a bench
@@andyhayward1261 hiyo
I dislike benchmade prices. Also our friend Tristate needs knives to talk about please send help
I finally got my money back -- after MONTHS -- with my bank, after returning a faulty Benchmade, with their own prepaid label. $413. Lost a customer for good. Never again.
Only and I mean only benchmades I will ever buy or use is a 940,griptillian, anthem. other than that they suck
I got in to knives to late to own a benchmade 😢
Don’t worry. You are not missing out. There are so many better crossbar lock options out there nowadays.
Get a Griptillian while you still can. It’s a great knife, better than the Bugout and can be had at around $130. If not grab a Hogue Deka as a great alternative to Benchmade at a fair price.
Get a Hogue Doug Ritter, far better
2nd on the Ritter RSK, they are great and also support Kniferights! Same price as a bugout, except using Magnacut, G10, it's centered and a much better edge.
Rovivan
It's literally been years since Benchmade has made anything that has even vaguely caught my attention. And at the prices they charge it better really catch my attention.
Weeeee
Stop saying tagged like jagged.
Now I'll keep doing it for 6+ years just like my intentional mispronunciation of shah-min 😎✌️
@@metal_complex you should never try to correct a guy who puts down a brand new kiridashi and picks up a sharpened railroad spike to open a box.
@@metal_complexthat is an intentional mispronunciation? I always thought it was just a quirk of some regional dialect.
@tomminogue7023 welcome to the channel 👍
@@metal_complex dude, I’m still reeling from finding out that pronunciation was intentional. I think I need a drink.
First comment
Benchmade knives are overpriced.
Thanks
