The causes of failure in shoot grafting or other types of grafting such as insert grafting and approach grafting are things that must be known and studied, especially for beginners who are just starting to learn plant grafting. By knowing the causes of failure in grafting technically, this can reduce the risk of failure. Usually, if a beginner practices grafting for the first time and fails, he will try again. So, before practicing directly, beginners must know the correct technique for grafting, starting from how to hold the grafting knife, selecting the scion or scion, selecting the correct rootstock and slices in grafting.
