Joan Van Ark (born June 16, 1943) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Valene Ewing on the primetime soap opera Knots Landing. A life member of The Actors Studio, she made her Broadway debut in 1966 in Barefoot in the Park. In 1971, she received a Theatre World Award and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for the revival of The School for Wives.

Glad to see most of the cast made it to their older years , rip to the ones who passed, we can't stop time and aging, unfortunately some people are superficial and only care about looks , life requires much more

I agree. That goes for regular jobs as well. No one wants to hire the older workers, but they're the ones that you can count on to be there every day, and on time, but they would rather go with the pretty 20-somethings, who want every weekend off, so they can "hang out". Very sad.
@@dazzlingdi so true. I use to work with people 95% in their 20s always late called out. The other older people like me always there on time never call out.
They all look fantastic ! Must have been some magic water on that set.
Many of them DO look great, but for some of them, the "magic water" was a surgeon's knife, lol! I guess whatever works!!
They call that plastic surgery and botox. Looks like some have better surgeons than others.
Loved this show! Amazing that so many of them are still alive. I can't remember when it ended or why. I just remember that I never wanted to miss an episode.
I bought the 1st & 2nd seasons on DVD years ago. They didn't release anymore. Would be great if it was on any streaming platform.
I'm still waiting for the rest of the set too...
I have series 1 & 2 on dvd. Always wonder why they didnt make all the series ..loved it so much.

WOW, Willian Devane is almost spooky, if he died his hair darker, he literally has not aged a day!
While I enjoyed looking at this, it is not very representative of the series. There are several insignificant characters shown, and missing are two of the more important cast: Steve Shaw as Eric Fairgate, and Pat Petersen as Michael. Sadly, Steve passed away in 1990 from an auto accident.

Also I guarantee you that photos represented as 2022 are not 2022. Some of them were probably taken years before.

Wasn’t Knot’s Landing a spin-off of Dallas? I can remember watching this with my big sister, she had a whole drama tv line up on specific weeknights.
Yep, Gary and Val got remarried so Miss Ellie bought them a house in Knots Landing as a wedding gift.
I think the show was already underway and the Ewing characters added in before the series aired..

I never watched this show but oh how I loved Betsy Palmer! She had an awesome voice and laugh. I’m 76 now and grew up watching her in so many shows and just her joyful prescience!!

I was behind her in line at a Thriftimart back in the early 80s and was trippin on how different she looked with no make up on, it was one of the first female actresses I had ever seen in person and it showed me how much they cake that stuff on them. She looked a lot older than she was at the time. I loved that show tho!

I ended up here looking for some full episodes to have playing in the background for nostalgia while doing other Saturday chores inside...the music, familiar voices...even recall some of the episodes/story plots...who knew 40-years later what would stick w/you? Knot's did, and LOVED Abby.

I had the great pleasure of first seeing the gorgeous Donna Mills walking on Rodeo Drive w/several packages. She looked down trying to avoid my eyes. Then I met her in an upscale boutique where I worked, she wore no makeup, her blonde hair was wavy but clean. I instantly recognized her and greeted her, asked about her daughter and made the sale of a small gold evening bag to her. She was pleasant & gracious & polite, beautiful in every way. Then about a week later I bought the same small evening purse for myself lol!

You have the wrong James Houghton. Not only does it not look like him, or how he'd look now, James had blue eyes, and the actor you show in 2022 has brown eyes. Plus, you can tell they have completely different ears,..peoples ears don't change THAT much as they age...it's clearly not him.
