Watched the 12 o'clock and 5 o'clock news with Bill and Don forever it seems. That level of news journalism will never be duplicated. No wild graphics, no excitement, just a direct, level-headed broadcast. Sadly a thing of the past.
I tried to have a 1970's/1980's feel with the newscast I produced and anchored for over six years in Urbana, Illinois. These are very nice intros here.
1:08 The font for "NOON NEWS" resembled the font that NBC News and Sports used from 1972-75, and some NBC affiliates used for a few more years. The font for the date was what CBS News was using on air.
