Crazy that Val Kilmer was in the whole movie, Michael Douglas was only in like 15 minutes of the movie, and didn't even show up until later on, but his name was first on the credits. Back then actors took it really personal to have top billing on credits.

Similar to Superman 1978 and Batman 1989 where Christopher and Michael weren't top billed in their own movies.

Some people who worked with him on other films in the 90s might not agree with you.

@@dakotagradyx Well, there was a period of time during that decade when he apparently was very difficult to work with. Director John Frankenheimer hated him when they were making that crapfest "Dr. Moreau" and Joel Schumacher wasn't exactly complimentary either about his time on "Batman Forever". On the other hand, many people have enjoyed working with him, so who the hell knows?

@@flapjackbickle645 my personal opinion on him is that he seems very nice and a well spoken person but I don’t know him personally. everyone has their opinions

@@dakotagradyx Yeah, in fairness to him I think during that period he was going through a very bitter divorce, so his personal life was messed up. I certainly don't get the impression he's a bad person.

Bobbie was different. She didn't ask the usual questions too much, like "Tell me about your character?" You can tell Val here and others too, liked to talk about something else too, besides the movie itself. Bobbie sometimes was a flatterer but she got what she wanted. Many film people had great respect for her.

Val was such a big name actor back then. Sad his career took a bad turn, I think he basically accepts that he could have done better with his behavior on some of those movies in the 90s.

I don't buy that Val was horrid. Most of his co-stars like him fine. It's that he butts heads (sometimes) with directors and producers (two specifically) and all an actor needs to be labeled is "difficult" and it's downhill. You only need one person to say it and your career is trashed. Lots of talent is not booked because a person has it out for you when you disagree with them. The actors that are actually difficult usually have a lot of power, so they can be as batshit crazy as anything on set and no one will say anything or if the behavior does leak, nothing will come of it.
