Chris, I feel this type of video is where your strengths are. You are quick and concise and give great reasoning for your picks. Please make more videos of this format. How about best 2 player, 3 player, 4 player games. Best quick games, long games, legacy games, etc. Thanks for your hard work sir!
YES! First, absolutely love Ethnos. Second, Tiny Towns is fantastic at even more than 6 with another copy. The random draw resource variant is perfect for that.
I played Between two Castles for the first time a couple weeks ago and was amazed how well it worked. None of the seven players had played before and we still finished up in a reasonable time and everyone loved it. Can’t think of many other games besides seven wonders and sushi go party that I could say the same about. And even seven wonders can be tricky for new players
Right there with you with PUSH!, absolute hidden gem. I bought a copy at Kohls on clearance for $4 and it was such a huge surprise hit. We love it at any count 3+ Its definitely my fave push your luck game. Ethnos is also a great pick.
In my group it's almost always "We have 6 players? Zombicide!!" So when the Top 10 was put out I was curious what would be on the list other than the obvious Zombicide. So their list really broadened my horizons. This list is equally interesting (and Chris didn't even give Zombicide an honorable mention in the beginning). Im learning a lot from TDT channel. 👍
Great additions there, Chris. Soooo agree about Ethnos... that game deserves more love than it gets. Another great game for six is the original Dune board game... with the caveat that all players are heavily invested into the theme; if you get six gamers who are way into the Dune IP for an afternoon, you almost can't have a better gaming experience. :-) Love it!
I actually really disagree about Ethnos! I think for what you do, it takes too long to get back round the table at 6 and it is more prone to 'lucky draw syndrome' than at 3-4. I also thought the 2-player was rubbish in it. Really like it at 3-4, but above and below that? Sadly not for me! :)
I suggested Ethnos in chat when the original group did theirs. We play it often at six players. Others I like with six players Citadels, TI4, Welcome to, and Caverna.
My picks that neithet Chris or the group mentioned: Escape from the Aliens in Outer Space - hidden movement/social deduction with a lot of tension Cat Lady (with the Box of Treats expansion) - easy drafting game like Sushi Go Party, plays fast, engages players outside of their turns. Cartographers - I pick this over other flip/roll and writes because of the tear-off sheets and how people can put varying amounts of time into their drawings if others have AP
I'll say it again, New Angeles. I know it'll never get played on this channel because so many of y'all dislike the semi-co-op/hidden traitor style of game, but it is probably the best implementation of that mechanic. Greedy corporations that have to work together enough to keep a city from falling into anarchy and chaos, while still turning a greater profit than their rival. The hidden traitor is the Federalist, a company that struck a deal with the government to let the city fail, giving the government grounds to retake control. Great game that just flew under the radar when it was released.
For tiny towns i much prefer the town hall rules, where you draw resource cards, and every third is wild. I find it more difficult, and i like the strategy more. Also eliminates a "take that" aspect where you could purposely pick a resource someone doesn't need, especially in lower player counts nearing end of game. And this makes the game exactly the same regardless of player count.
Good job Chris. I also thought that both Ethnos and Between Two Castles were omissions from the earlier list. Ethnos is so much fun and it's amazingly smooth for 6 players. The 10 games I've had the most fun with (somewhat limited experience) would be those 2 plus Euphoria, Shadows Over Camelot, Escape: Curse of the Temple, Captain Sonar, Welcome To, Scythe (but yes, this is for the die-hards at 6), Fantasy Realms, and Concordia Venus (the team variant works nicely at 6).
Excuse me, sir, but slamming the pin in front of someone is the absolute FUNNESTEST part of Magic Maze! In fact, they should build an entire game around this mechanism! And they should make the pins MORE obnoxious!!
Our most common 6-player scenario is three couples, and the Ticket to Ride Map Pack 1 that has a team Asia map is perfect. Each couple shares a set of trains but they can only see one of each other's destination tickets. Every time you draw train cards, one goes in your private hand and one goes in a shared pile with your teammate. Plays just as quick and easy as normal Ticket to Ride, but accommodates six nicely.
Some say that China/Han/Web of Power is much better than Ethnos. Fast turns with area majority, but only plays up to 5. I have played China/Han but not Ethnos. Have you played both? If so how would you compare them?
I'd pick Colt Express and I'm really looking forward to the new expansion with a second train, that sounds intriguing The Wings Of Glory line is worth a shout out here too, with how streamlined it is you can easily have huge battles but 6 is a good number.
I've only played 3 of these: Magic Maze is too chaotic for me but it is a good pick. Push and Sushi Go Party are both games that I like. I figured they were too welcoming to be mentioned in the others guys lists. I'd like to give a shout out to Mysterium that's also good at 6 (and 7).
Great games, Chris!! We have a lot of these games, and agree that they work great at 6! Our group doesn't like to split up and is often 6 or more. Great ideas!

LOVE decrypto. Probably my fave game of all time
Rarely gets mentioned
And there’s a couple free online venues to play remotely w friends
This is the list I was looking for! much more useful list, thank you Chris!
YES! First, absolutely love Ethnos. Second, Tiny Towns is fantastic at even more than 6 with another copy. The random draw resource variant is perfect for that.
PUSH.... Salt n Peppa would love this pick

Agreed with Ethnos, it was my number 1 pick as well!
Right there with you with PUSH!, absolute hidden gem. I bought a copy at Kohls on clearance for $4 and it was such a huge surprise hit. We love it at any count 3+ Its definitely my fave push your luck game. Ethnos is also a great pick.
Good picks. Some of mine are Scoville, Deadwood 1876, Suspicion, Eclipse, and Flash Point Fire Rescue.
sushi go party and ethnos are straight gold handling up to six players. great top two.
In my group it's almost always "We have 6 players? Zombicide!!"

Im learning a lot from TDT channel. 👍
I was hoping to hear Between two castles in the previous list, I'm glad you mention it
I agree. Great for families and introducing non-gamers to modern board games.
Same
Take 5 is my go to game while waiting for everyone to arrive or when tie is short. It plays well at 6
Great additions there, Chris. Soooo agree about Ethnos... that game deserves more love than it gets. My dragon-pawn sounds like a F1 car when it zooms across the board.
Your right actually they didn't say Ethnos. Its my go to 6 player game, criminal they missed it.
I suggested Ethnos in chat when the original group did theirs. We play it often at six players. Others I like with six players Citadels, TI4, Welcome to, and Caverna.
My picks that neithet Chris or the group mentioned:
Escape from the Aliens in Outer Space - hidden movement/social deduction with a lot of tension
Cat Lady (with the Box of Treats expansion) - easy drafting game like Sushi Go Party, plays fast, engages players outside of their turns.
Cartographers - I pick this over other flip/roll and writes because of the tear-off sheets and how people can put varying amounts of time into their drawings if others have AP
I do like yours better than the others FYI but Mission Red Planet would definitely be on mine. Ego +1 level up.
thanks you for introducing pit crew to me!
dun understand y its so underrated

It's true, I failed to mention that it does really keep it even among player counts. Both ways are pretty neat though. Thanks for watching!
Bad Company works well at 6. Fast and engaging game.
Good job Chris. I also thought that both Ethnos and Between Two Castles were omissions from the earlier list. Ethnos is so much fun and it's amazingly smooth for 6 players. Great list. Yes, it was CRIMINAL that Ethnos wasn't included.
it was lol
Calling them cubes instead of what they are is a pet peeve of mine lol.
I love Ethnos! Such a fun game. I'm sad so many gamers disregard it. I hope it gets a reprint or refresh.
Our go to for big groups is “Who goes there?”
Yes, Ethnos!
Excuse me, sir, but slamming the pin in front of someone is the absolute FUNNESTEST part of Magic Maze! In fact, they should build an entire game around this mechanism! And they should make the pins MORE obnoxious!!
Make it one of those bells you ring. That really strikes right into the central nervous system, haha.
Yes! And you can communicate so much with how hard, fast and (a)rhythmic you slam the pin!
I tried Between two cities and it’s ok. I thought the patterns you have to come up with were a little too obtuse
Never split the party.
Yes! Pit crew! I love that game.
Some say that China/Han/Web of Power is much better than Ethnos. Fast turns with area majority, but only plays up to 5. I have played China/Han but not Ethnos. Have you played both? If so how would you compare them?
Bang the dice game and Bohnanza would be in my top 10
Surprised none of you 4 mentionned Captain Sonar, it is as good as with 8 players (as one player can handle two simple tasks)
I'd pick Colt Express and I'm really looking forward to the new expansion with a second train, that sounds intriguing
The Wings Of Glory line is worth a shout out here too, with how streamlined it is you can easily have huge battles but 6 is a good number.
Yes!!! Ethnos!!! That’s what I’m talking about!! Plays great at 6
Ethnos is fantastic and the artwork is nowhere close to being as bad as what people claim. I think calling the art ugly is just a trend at this point
Don't forget Strozzi and Medici: The Card Game.
Eclipse
Constantly always involved?
Hey Brian, not sure I get your comment.
@@DTChrisYi sorry. At one point you said "constantly always" it was a throwaway comment, but it cracked me up.
@@brianwhipple6310 Oh, haha, yes. Some unnecessary redundancy that wasn't needed 😛
@@DTChrisYi lol! YES!
I would put Ecos on this list instead of Between Cities
Thanks for this comment. I just picked up a copy of Ecos. Haven’t broken the shrink wrap yet. Will need to try it!
I need to give magic maze another chance. And i love decrypto!
This is not the wizard you were looking for.
What about game of thrones 2nd edition with 6?? It’s only 39 hours long
Great games, Chris!! We have a lot of these games, and agree that they work great at 6! Our group doesn't like to split up and is often 6 or more. Great ideas!
I respectfully disagree about magic maze. It was bad enough playing with 3 and 4 players, if I play with 6 I might have a mental breakdown.
Wombo combo!
Hmmm... The others guys at least got TI right.
None of you got Dune, HereIStand...
STILL no Keyflower. I am the sad. So sad.
Never tried it at 6, though I've heard it still works well at that count. Played it at 3 and 4 and I do enjoy the game.
Emphasis is that these are more greater than the other lists…
Still no wonderful world.. I'm sorely disappointed..
There really is no 6 player game that tops TI4 in my opinion.
It was going so well Chris till you hit Magic Maze 😜
Game of Thrones
I don't understand why Risk wasn't on anyone's list. 😳
The cover of Ethnos looks great but the game is indeed ugly- the colors of the components are all over the place. Total mish-mash
Hard to say if your games were better since those guys were so forgettable. Wait? I think I just did say it.
