I located my table using cleats that 'surrounded' the table. It pretty well 'locked' it in place without needing to fasten it down with the star knobs/bolts. His cut out for the hand cranking was a bit I'd not done - instead swiveling the top clockwise to clear the crank, then ccw to do the drilling.
Great video! Take a look at Loc-Line hose kit for drill presses. This solution works great because you can direct the dust collection near the drilling. The fence solution only works if you're drilling near the dust collection port. Festool vac works fine for DP dust collection.
Yep, that's a great suggestion. I've used the loc-line in several shops and found it works great with either a vacuum or the dust collector. I've used it connected to ducts coming up through the floor or down from the ceiling. It's really versatile.
It's a daft place for that handle to be. I just attached a socket to mine and use a ratchet with an extension to raise and lower it. Going to steal some of your ideas here though :)
Hi Graham! I have some leftover mdf I was considering using for a few fixtures since Baltic birch ply is incredibly expensive in the US right now. Have you ever had issue with the matchfit clamps ruining the dovetail shape in the mdf over time? Really like the table you came up with there, the wheels are already turning on one of my own!
Hi Grahame you have a very nice workshop.and nice machinery. Australia.
Thank you Shane.👍

Graham, your shop is looking really nice. Seems like it's hard to get started on a re-org, but always worth it in the end...
Bang on Todd, destroys the place but once you get tidy again its always a wow. 😁

Thanks Mark, will do. 👍
