This was one of my favorite vlogs of Alex’s. Now she’s just showing off her editing skills with the peaceful piano music she’s playing in the background to the cuts of her reading something to the phone conversation with David Ebert. Much more peaceful and sublime when compared to other vlogs.
There’s something so sublime about this particular vlog. So different from your other ones. And the lovely piano playing juxtaposed with you craining your neck to check your texts at the same time was weird perfection. Loved it.
Wow. That's just so accurate. It just automatically puts you at ease and yet pains you ever so slightly. Kinda makes you want to stop and reflect back at random things
Wow I don’t know why but this video did something to me. I kinda exactly portraits my mood in this moment. It is so beautiful, and calming in its own way. Thank you!
This felt like a very deep art movie (one of those I never understand) with great actors bringing to life some emotionally draining and sad story. And yet ... I loved every moment. MORE!!!!!!
I love how the whole video was produced. The quiet, orderly progression of the background piano piece and her calming and soothing voice as she speaks in the monologue is a stark-and perfect-contrast to how the video just randomly jumps from one scene to another. The bits of lockdown/quarantine where little or nothing happens are probably what we all experience most of the time. The bits where there is interaction with other people or animals, spontaneous creativity or reading poetry; these are the punctuation marks. Alex makes videos full of punctuation. And they are beautiful, in their own melancholic way.
These videos are increasingly feeling more and more somber. I hope everything is alright there and that you're okay. Keep strong and keep pushing forward. No feeling or emotion is forever. Whatever you're going through, it'll pass. Just keep your head high.
