Damon Albarn is one of the best musicain of all times...started out with Blur who I thought at the time were nothing more than a boy band, but after he went to Gorillaz then The Good The Bad And the Queen he was able to not only play in 5 different bands but also created different sounds in each one demonstrated he belongs with the greats artist that only come around once in a century.
I spoke to Paul about this band and we agreed this is some of his best bass playing. He was always the king of cool in the clash but these basslines are great. I remember some clash fans moaning about how high his bass was. He said "I'm playing the bass now. I can't play it down there anymore I got a bad back"
