    Good morning/afternoon, I have a question that I am very concerned about. I just graduated from High school, and now I'm planning to go to a nursing school, but I'm overthinking, because I'm a foreign person/student, and I have heard several stories that hospitals/facilities does not really trust on foreign students. I'm afraid because I really want to become a RN, and probably I will be having some minor issues about the pronunciation with some diseases. Will it be worth it if I go into the medical field?:( since I don't wanna waste my time on something that it will not benefit me in the future.
    I found really helpful your channel, thanks I really enjoyed this video.

    • @RegisteredNurseRN
      @RegisteredNurseRN  7 лет назад +8

      Hello Jasmin :) I say you should definitely go for it! From my personal experience, I've worked with MANY, MANY foreign nurses, doctors, NPs, CRNAs etc. and there is no problem. Patients care about your expertise and experience (along with your co-workers) and just want to get better (your co-workers just want someone who is willing to work hard and provide great care)....they are not thinking about where you are from. Regarding pronunciation...we all have issues with that and it really doesn't matter. You can work on it over time. I don't think you will be wasting your time, and I think you should give it a try. Really it is a great profession made up of all types of people. We are all human and have a desire to care for others, which is why we chose the profession...it doesn't matter about where you come from. Thank you for watching my videos, and I wish you the best with your decision.
