WOW!!! What an unveiling!! This is a 17 minute video and it took you 8 minutes 14 seconds to open the knife and show it. I guess it was better to talk about what languages the product manual came in than show the actual knife that every single person that clicked on this video actually wanted to see. I wish you had listed in the title that it was going to take 1/2 the video before you get to see the knife. I wouldn’t have wasted my time.

The red alox does, in fact , open one-handed quite easily. Many have worked it out. Holding the knife, use you thumb to slide open the blade. When mostly open, you can flick it to lock position. But flicking is just silly fun, and might prematurely break something. I love the NON-tactical tool orientation of the knife! Couch commandos will not like it. You can buy thumbstuds. Check online. Cheers!
Nice video man, just got mine in red today! it was such a hard choice between the red and a wooden handle not in this video but the wood had no clip, was thicker and had no textured grip. (Also the red will be easier to see if i ever drop it in the woods lol.)
@@UnboxMyLife All the wood, black, and orange models are now made with lanyard holes. Many people do not like clips. Or the police do not. I never use clips, as I put knives into a rucksack. By law, locking blades are illegal in many countries, including mine. But if you go for a hike, no one cares. Otherwise must be inside a rucksack. Clips are not good for game dressing. The clip catches the guts and sinew. Clips are not everyone's choice. Victorinox was smart to make it removable. Cheers!

Thank you so much for that. You mean the steal on the blade ? The Chassi is Alox and same for all Vic Alox knives. But the blade is what Vic call it High Carbon Stainless steel but not polished like all small SAK. The steel feels good and strong for outdoor use. More Victorinox and EDC videos is coming up so hang tight :D

I have an Hunter pro M black, love it but I really never use it. I use most of the times my camper and sometimes the tinker deluxe. I am in Sweden too but I don't bring them with me in my pockets when I go out, I have a small Victorinox Classic SD in my keychain, but as you do with yours...I don't show it.
@@UnboxMyLife an ordningsvakt told me once that blades longer than 2cm in your pocket can get you in legal troubles. She told me that while I had the Classic SD in my pocket 😆

Who cares about knife laws? Unless you get into a situation, the cops are never going to search your pockets and if you do get into a situation, it's better to have the knife to fend off attackers with and pay the fine than not have it and be at the mercy of criminals. We've all read the news about senseless violence leaving randomly chosen victims with permanent damage or even dead and the cops aren't going to be there in time to save you. The authorities are completely impotent when it comes to protecting citizens and dealing with criminals, so unfortunately you have to take responsibility for protecting your own safety.
But it depends! Some people live in jurisdictions where the cops can frisk you even if you're just minding your own business. This happens in the UK, for example. And, until very recently, it happened in New York City. Someone who knows they are unlikely to get frisked, though, can probably disregard the knife laws. When I was young I did get frisked by a cop in the USA even though I had done nothing wrong. I was in a bad neighborhood and was a passenger in a car that got pulled over, the driver had some warrant on him, and the cop did a weapons check on all of us. Fortunately I didn't have my pocket knife on me. In those years I liked to carry a knife that was a bit longer than the local laws allowed. So I'd say, be careful whose car you're in if you're carrying! lol

@@UnboxMyLife They can do that in Finland too and technically you're not even allowed to carry a multitool without a valid reason if it has a knife blade, but like I said the police don't just randomly stop people who are behaving normally and also they understand that the purpose of the law is not to prevent people from having a Leatherman in their pocket, it's so that when they stop someone who's committed a crime or is otherwise behaving suspiciously, they can confiscate any weapons they might find before bad things happen.
It's not actually a hunting knife. It bears the name, but Victorinox has specifically said it was never designed to be a hunting knife. Weird, but true.

Thats right, i use many of the SAK instead because they are more OK here in sweden. The other knife i use as nice go to guests knife :D

That's a strange blade geometry for a Hunter knife, the spear point shape doesn't look very good for skinning.
