Kinda surprised Wii Sports Club isn't part of the retrospective other than being briefly mentioned in the Switch Sports segment of the video.
To this day, Wuhu island is still one of my favorite video game locations of all time.
Also: By holding down 1 or 2 (I forget which one) after starting a game of tennis (before it goes to the screen for selecting the number of game) you can turn the court blue like the one in practice.
Also is tennis you don't have your mii in any of the 4 spaces on the court u can just watch a game of tennis with random miis
On the WSR title screen if you do this combo: A B Down 1 2 Up - + - + you will get a little code at the bottom of the screen that shows the build date of the game
Then there's champion items when you beat the champion in a specific sport such as a purple sword, samurai armor and a sunset in swordplay, a slipper in table tennis, and silver boxing gloves in boxing, (All activated by holding down 1 or 2)
AND in frisbee in WSR if you press down A and 2 together you can instantly pop the balloons

For Wakeboarding, one thing I didn't learn until I got older is that you have to lean the Wiimote forwards and backwards at higher speeds to stick the landings. I thought you just had to balance it side to side, but at higher speeds I'd always fail the landings and lose my speed. Now that I know the trick, I've landed tricks that are over 100 points in one trick and I raised the high score on my family's Wii substantially.

Even Nintendo pretends it never existed and just re releases all the old games as new switch titles for the full price.
As a true fan of wii sports baseball, you don't know you can aim where your pitches go with the d-pad? That way was chosen intentionally so it was still applicable in games with other people. Great video regardless, but minor oversight on my favorite sport in all of wii sports saga. Easily the most fun and competitive sport. Idk if thats a hot take 😅

I think Wii sports boxing was good for the time, but now in a time where we have VR boxing with much better tracking it doesn't hold up as well.

The reason you won on golf is because the first time you play a sport online, it puts you against really easy computer players, you dont actually play with anyone online. After that first game against computers, you will play against real people.
