I’ve lived in the US my whole life and have been really curious about life in China. Not only did this video help answer my questions, but it also taught me how to take Instagram photos despite being awkward with posing. You’re so relatable!
Yes yes…love the way you edit your videos!!! I have been looking for the longest time for interesting and aesthetically pleasing vlogs from Beijing! Best luck on this RUclips journey ✨
I've been binge watching your videos cause I'll be moving to Beijing soon and they've been really helpful and soothing (experiencing separation anxiety) and once I'm settled I'll definitely try out your cookies
Discovered your channel recently and have been binging all your videos! I love your genuine personality and unique view on living as a young professional in China. Please continue to upload blogs and take us on your journey as you figure things out ❤️
Evelyn! Missed you! It's sooo cool that you started a cookie company!!!! I wish you all the best for starting that and great success in business and RUclips. Love your videos! :)
Hi Evelyn! watching this video was very comforting and I very much enjoyed it. I hope you find meaning in the process of making these videos too and that there is something for you to get out of it as well :) I'm super glad you are finally starting to feel like Beijing is home!! Just sharing some very real experiences, I've been in a similar position and some days out of nowhere I may have an identity crisis, absolutely torn between two familiar yet distant worlds. All the best for what lies ahead, I am definitely rooting for you Evelyn! jiayou
thank you so so much! I read this note several times and every single time it makes my day:) I really enjoy making videos, but it's knowing that there are people out there who enjoy and relate to my stories that makes the process meaningful. Thank you for sharing your story - I'm rooting for your too!
I like your videos my friend , The key is to never give up hope . Keep moving forward and believe in yourself . I send Love and Support 😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰
I'm a foreigner in China and I have to say, if you're not a native English-speaker and you don't have at least 2 years of work experience, finding a *legal* job in China will most likely be hell, even in a big city. Many illegal opportunities might come your way (illegal = no work visa included), but please don't take them, you don't want to break the law in a foreign country, and recently they've started paying more attention to cases like that. I'm married to a chinese man and I don't have the right to work here, that's how hard it is. So, if you have another kind of visa that allows you to stay in China and that's what you want to do, I recommend that you try finding an on-line job, so you can work for a company from your own country and still be in China.
Agreed, and thank you so much for the note! I have noticed too that it's been getting harder for foreigners to keep their visas in China. Several of my friends have had to leave China recently because of visa issues. Hope it gets better for everyone...and all the best with your life in China!
Omg girl... I freaking love your channel. I've been following Lauren's channel for awhile now but just found you by searching vegan in china. haha. Your vegetarian video came up. I'm vegan and will be moving to Shanghai soon. Waiting for the gates to open. lol My husband is already there. Anyways, absolutely love your style and editing and will be watching from now on!
Your cookies looked sooo good!! I’m glad that you’re happy, it definitely sounds scary and lonely to uproot and move so far, and doubly so if people expect you to feel better about it just because it isn’t your first time there. I hope your various ventures work out well!! Getting a stand mixer might be a good idea 👀 it definitely makes baking a lot easier for me at least!
Ahhh thank so much for this comment. Yes, I some times blame myself a bit for going back to my home country and feeling like a stranger...but thank you for understanding that!! I just got a hand mixer:) saving up for a stand mixer!
can you tell us more about your cookie business? How did you start it? Is it a registered company? Do you need to pay taxes for that income you make from it? :) :) super inspiring
Uh oh... hmmm... 🙄😔🤨🤔... Okay, I really don't know how to say this. I actually love your videos. You are so unique, really. One of a kind. Just thought that... well, never mind 😁. Stay safe. Take care. Keep this up. 👍
