I’d recommend two books by an author named Colleen Hover. The first one is “It ends with us” while the second one is “Verity”. They are both very good reads.

You're right! I find it so hard to read books that aren't set in Africa. I just can't relate. I'd recommend you read "The Death of Vivek Oji" by Akwaeke Emezi. I literally finished that book in a day.

I relate to this Nigerian authors thingy, I started reading Nigerian fiction in 2021 and I could totally relate, when I tried reading foreign books it was a drag.
However, I really liked seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo and I didn’t drop it until I finished.
Another book I enjoyed was This close to okay by Leesa cross smith , it’s a really interesting book if you like sad books
