I remember Bad Romance came out on the radio and there was no single to download so I had this that had been leaked and listened to it so much. Very nostalgic feels listening now.
Tristan Evans Ditto. Lady Gaga rocked my senior year of high school with Just Dance and Pokerface I remember being so excited starting college with a new Gaga song and I heard this exact demo I was like wtf??? It was so weird and different, looking back though it's classic Gaga.
@@grand_vacation no, the real song was on the radio, but there was no downloadable single version of the song yet. I found this demo, and so until the single was released, I had this.
I remember listening to this demo 100 times a day, waiting for the single to drop. And when the fcking video was released, I became such a hardcore fan. She really changed my life & I thank her so much for her music, performances and videos. She's such an inspiring and intelligent person, you just have to adore her.
This comment is a time capsule :) I remember that feeling when I first heard the song together with a video, it felt surreal and nothing i've seen before
Seriously the voice, whatever it is for, whether it's for a legit reason or not, that keeps interrupting this awesome piece is pissing me off really bad
I remember when I was in collage and I used to listen to this demo before the real version came out while laying in bed... I even remember the guy talking over the top. Simpler times.
I remember when I first heard this demo, I just fell in love with this song, then I heard the real version on the radio, and I just fell in love! Hahaaa this demo brings back memories :D
I remember listening to this demo shortly after she sang it on SNL and while waiting for The Fame Monster to come out and I still listen to it and love it!
I always kind of thought the success of The Fame allowed her to be more experimental in her vocals and play with those darker tones, odd inflections, and weird pronunciations, ultimately leading to the completely original sound we now know and love.
lord almighty, I have been looking for this version for years (10 YEARS!!) and I had no idea that it was the demo, im deeeead...my mom put this version on my mp3 player when I was about 10 or 11 and I had no idea what version it was since I didn't pay attention. But yeah, other than the random talkin "Yeah, what it do--", I was in love with the way this put together even though I also love the album version??? lol my search is finally over...
I have been searching for this version for years. Does anyone remember when iTunes released this version before they released the album version? And everyone got pissed cuz they were expecting the radio edit and got something we’ve never heard before 😂😂😂.
Eu lembro quando vazou vazou isso. Um pouco depois de ter vazado um snippet de Alejandro, que na época chamavam de ''Don't call my name''. Eu passava o dia inteiro ouvindo.
I was expecting it to be somehow better than the original, but in my opinion nothing can be better than the original. Bad Romance is literally my favorite song.
this was before RUclips had VEVO so all music put on RUclips violated copyrights of labels(unless put on official channels). Many people came to search for this song the first weeks of its release and instead stomped on the demo. There is actually a vocal part in the chorus that many people were disappointed was left out of the final version. Lady Gaga even likes it herself so much she has included it in her live versions of it.
Her voice didn't change; her inflections and intonations did. IMO, as much as I love The Fame, it was a bit more formulaic-- it sounded more like typical pop music where her vocals were concerned (IE-- the wispy highs in Paparazzi.) In her later work, she started playing with a darker sound that isn't typical of many singers now, and as we all know, she can belt those highs in Paparazzi. Choosing not to was an artistic choice, reminiscent of many R&B artists, for example.
I agree with @samkidcool I always loved this version. I remember I completely loved Lady Gaga (still do) but I started to get bored, and when I heard this I got so excited for her next album. Feeling that way again, and can't wait to get Born This Way on Monday! :D
me during my Waptrick era hating the song so much because i was looking for the official version but this one kept coming. Little did I know this one sounds enticing and softly magnetising after years because it was my initial listen tune during my childhood era.
I hate it when people think that she is satanic. She is an amazing artist and teaches us to love ourselves for who we are and to not car what others think. I will always be GAGA for GAGA
@SoraOfOhio I really couldn't agree more. When I heard the finalised version I was gutted when I realised they replaced the synthesized male backup part. Plus I love the way in this version she's more easy going on her voice rather than really pushing it in the finalised version.
@Ticho22 it says "burim exclusive baby". Burim is the guy who leaks all the gaga songs, so he tags his name in the songs to let every know the leak came from him.
who remembers listening to her sing a little bit acoustic on SNL and thinking oh fuck this is good lets youtube it and find a demo, heard it and was like ohh this is good, then the chorus kicks in with ooh ohhohh oh part and falling instantly in love, actually it kinda sparked something inside you, something amazing
i love the "Oooh" part in the chorus it sounds so nice
David Tomlinson x2
X3
Hah...
ik i dont know why they turned it down in the chorus but at least you can hear it rlly clearly in her superbowl
Tranquil Papii 3:27 even better

omg same here!!!
hahaha same!
WAIT so this demo was playing on the radio?? I remember hearing Bad Romance but not the one in the music video but it was slightly pitched.
@@grand_vacation no, the real song was on the radio, but there was no downloadable single version of the song yet. I found this demo, and so until the single was released, I had this.
1:02 the vocals in the background i live for thattt
Cat Dixon I love this part
Cat Dixon I've always wished those made it in
I KNOWWW!!! It fits so well!
I think I had a Mandela effect because I was 100% sure that had this on the song
@@ruantzy Its on the original, its just been lowered
9 years ago... ‘Burn exclusives baby’ hearing this on my iPod touch. I miss those times
I miss those times too! My old friends, my childhood! So nostalgic! :( 💔
iPod touch is where I discovered this 😩😩 miss the old times
literal trash same!
I had a 2nd gen nano looool what year is this
The "Burim exclusive, baby!" tags are essential. The untagged versions feel so hollow.
lok
Maybe you say unedited
she sounds like the Fame Gaga in this demo. Her voice changed a lot
anthoni Haus YES
her voice became so powerful through the year, I'm so emotional when I see these old music
You can hear her NYC accent on the “walk, walk, fashion baby” part.
I remember being SO excited when I heard this demo. I was playing it again and again. Who knew it would turn out to be a huge hit!
Burrrrrrrn exclusive!
Gahahaha yaaaas
LMAOOO
You can say what you want but I love her voice in this demo xdd
Xavi Noia especiallly when the chorus just begins
+Xavi Noia the autotune "siri" voice
i agree
As you should bestie

Really. She's genuinely an extraordinary artist and human being

I love music cause I'm a beautiful surviver and I love my kids and I wear a mask to sleep
The New York accent during the "walk walk fashion baby" is GLORIOUS. She should've kept that in the official version :)
Oh hi baby drago
Seriously the voice, whatever it is for, whether it's for a legit reason or not, that keeps interrupting this awesome piece is pissing me off really bad
This version leaked without the tag (the annoying voice) ages ago
I love that male voice doing Ooooh in the chorus, it sounds better than original :/
This is the 1th version of Bad Romance i heard i life. I was in a night club
the chorus is better than the original, for me
It’s been 10 years and I still haven’t gone a day without listening to bad romance lmao 🤷🏻♂️
Still tru!
@@literaltrash2275i don't believe you, you must get tired at some point lol
@@connor_1x1x1x1eh. I miss music like this. But time goes on I guess 😂. Still love bad romance and I frequent the demo !!

The 'ohhhh" part is Redone singing :) I remember this was the first version of the song I heard.
The minor Space Cowboy vocals in the chorus should've been kept, there's something spine tinglingly epic about them.
Caralho 9 anos de Bad Romance. E eu amo ate as demos
Esto me recuerdo tanto al año 2009.
the chorus in this version is orgasmic. I love the 'ohhhhhhhh' after 'you and me could write a bad romance. Don't know what it is.
It's nice but the album version sooooo much better. It's incredible how they can work on making a track more memorable.
Why did Lady Gaga say that this made her ears bleed? I think it's really good. (the demo)
Same
SAME OMFGGGG
She should have kept those male vocals tho.

What is the dude in the background saying? I always thought he said, “It’s a Burrrr excuse baby!” Wtf 😂😂😂.
😂😂😂😂😂

I love how the vocals sound in this. More raw and unprocessed.

Is the chorus of this demo version the nearest Gaga reached to perfection? Yes.
I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside of me when I hear this demo. I remember the first time I heard it..I was in heaven
The Space Cowboy Ohh part in the chorus is so good 😭😭.
here since this leaked and still here #Chromatica
2024 baby
I love when she sings in this kind of voice!!!!!!
Dont Care what anyone says, this version is infinity better than the official

I LOVE that male vocal! She should have kept it.
it's her producer whi sing behind her 😃❤

Oh how I love the demo... Brings back memories. The demo seems a bit darker and more sad for me.
"Burn exclusive grapes" is what I used to think he said 😂

to this day, this fucking low ass quality demo with Burim's voice all over it is still being played at multiple local supermarkets 💀💀💀💀
OMG!! Memories, memories, memories... are come back. I love that version. 1:04 is amazing.
So much better than final version.
not really
I'm with all the people saying "memories" and "nostalgia"
remember gaga panicked when this was leaked and said it "made her ears bleed,,,wait till you hear the official" she didnt disappoint :P
1:04 IS EPIC!
We all agree that is the best part of the chorus, They should keep it!
amazing, still thought this was better than the one released
@scottk5231
I love this version, this melody after words in chorus "You an me could write a bad romance" - it's a honey for my heart!!

@EveryoneWantsYou thats my fav part from this demo! and also the "walk walk fashion baby" part! :)
I was looking for this. I prefer this "ma ma, ma ma ma" with male voices in the background, sounds soooo good. Much better than "roma roma-maa"
Like it! :) it's kinda cool hearing demos of songs.
