nice exactly what i was looking for.😃 Just incase anyone else is wondering you need to wait for the Home Assistant to update it should be sometime today Oct 2
I'm wondering if there's a way to use the "exec" node in nodered to trigger commands from the HA server into the MAC/WIN/LINUX pc using SSH or something, that's very interesting. Thanks for the video!, this gave me lots of ideas!
Why the need to have a "cloud" account and pay for subscription for functionality that should be local to my home network? Sounds like a money-grab to me.
I'm happy to use Hass Agent for Windows. I'd rather use ssh exec with Node RED than this proprietary cloud thing...
fair enough :)
Agreed. HASS.Agent for Windows is preferable to this.
My only concern is the security, I would rather there be a local webhooks service, but I've yet to find one
The TRIGGERcmd integration is using Internet and it as secure as other internet using applications... But yes, local is better...

Great 👍 Yes Home Assistant 2024.10 or higher is needed for this TRIGGERcmd integration
Awesome, this is just what I've been looking for, to replace a stream deck with an esphome screen (using ha deck)
Sounds good!

You are most welcome and don't forget to check my other videos as well...
Is there a locally hosted alternative?
Not that i know of, unfortunately
SSH works fine for controlling my Ubuntu desktop. Setup is not easy though. I believe Open SSH clients / servers are available for Mac and Windows
HASS.Agentb for Windows.
HASS.Agent is available for Windows.
Interesting…
Yes, very interesting. I like it a lot...

Please watch the video again. Paid subscription is only needed if you need to control more computers
