Great job. For me... I would mount the spares lower, perhaps on a swing gate. I would go with reclining theater seats and a Murphy Bed Pull down. How many gallons of black, grey, drinking? I would go with tankless hot H20. I would put 500 Watts of Solar and 800 Amp Hours of Lithium Iron batteries with a combo pure sine wave Inverter/Charger Combo. I would go with "Alde" heat. Finally dual 200+ Amp alternator/generator like Roadtrec does. This does away with a separate generator. You could run an a.c. off all that - very stealthily. Still - I am impressed with what you have done. How much $ Cost $ do you have in it? Who did your 4WD/lift?Cheers!👍🏻
I really like the MB's Sprinter vans myself owning one. But mine is a customized van chassis not the box on the rear. Really nice build to say the least and looks like much design went into it. But the suspension seems to soft, it appears to need better shocks and or struts or even airbags to keep it from swaying back and forth from what the video shows. I can't help but wonder if you had an emergency high speed maneuver how it could stay upright and not flipping over. Not criticizing just wondering how it actually handles in the wind at high way speeds. Thank You
To know the gravit center of a vehicle, first you have to know the distribution of masses of the same one, do not be how you can know the distribution of masses or where there are placed the major loads of this vehicle in concretly. The same high vehicle is not that a vehicle with the high center of gravity, if it was the same concept the buses and trucks would have serious problems.
sanjosemike i didnt see anything in the video that shows the center of gravity has been raised enough to make a serious impact on the vehicle. you underestimate the weight of the driveline components under the vehicle.
sanjosemike wrong: a lot of people, especially from us and with typical us 4x4, don't get the difference between cog and a high roof. When I see 4x4 with roof racks packed with heavy stuff- this raises the cog! in this truck you DON'T see heavy things mounted high, nothing on the roof, correct? these trucks do NOT have solid axles, this is great ON road but reduced axle articulation! very much. as a result of fact the truck itself begins to turn. this has nothing to do with cog, center of gravity!
I couldnt tell on my small phone screen if the sliding door at the end gave entry to the driving seat cabin? That would be great. I like the bed design but why not built it in such a way you wouldnt have to convert the dining seating area first? Looks like its very well done though!
You may as well use really good comfortable foam on the dinette cushions and turn it into a bed. I don't see a great advantage to having a bed that takes longer to set up and is heavier except that you can have an innerspring mattress versus foam cushions. If you could sleep 2 above and 2 below then I see the advantage.
I like the bed design and other elements. Now, you will have to choose all, All your friends with a height restriction due to the head room. I know some short friends in Houston and NYC you can borrow.
Nice van sir hell of a job I really like what you did with the bed ! Can I ask where you got the parts from thanks very much for showing .I what to do the same thing over the winter ! But the parts for the bed is just great very good idea ! I'm still looking for a smaller truck like your's that's not to beat up.
If you use the dinette converted to a bed it gets twice the wear and can become uncomfortable from bei g sat on all the time, plus food spillage. This way you have a nice clean bed with mattress suited to the needs of your back. Memory foam is so uncomfortable to me. A hybrid with memory foam and inner spring breathes better, is less hot and lighter.
I'm impressed but why not just have the bench seats convert to a bed than that elaborate and surely expensive drop down bed? Just my opinion, it's your baby.
You can have two beds, with the table top and the back rests, I thought he was going to make a bed below. With the upper 1/2 way it's tight but, it is camping.
Very nice work! I like the bed. Could you tell me where you got the bed? How did you reinforce the wall and ceiling to hold the weight of bed and secure the rails on walls? Most RVs have thin walls. How do I reinforce it strong enough? This is a technical situation. How do you know if your wall is strong enough to hold the weight of two people on that loft bed? Thank you for posting!
Oh my I love this conversion -- exactly what I am looking for, can you tell me the size of the truck ? It's a sprinter van, yes ? It's great -- congratulations on your build. Thank you in advance. Alison x
I don't know whether to say that bed was a waste of space or not I guess not if you want that badass mattress.for me it would be but its cool though.its got a 90s vibe slow and slidey like when slam proof kitchen drawers were introduced.
How did you make the rear wheels from dually to single? Please tell. I have a mk1 412d and would like to make it single wheel. Did you keep the rating at 4.6 tonne or down rate it in the process? thanks
+Scott Can Do liked the side by side shot. Been nice to see a on screen $ when they made that shot. I think the layout and bed choice is a bit awkward. It would be nice to see if solar was used and how much clean water storage there was available. Still bet the price was well below the unimog.
Best conversion I've seen.
it doesn't look like you can off road with it. but you don't have to. i would have liked to see more of the cabintry. very nice conversion!
看过许多视频关于改装野营车的,你的是最好!
That is freaking awesome.... nice job!
Its a miracle that thing didnt fall over.
Sick track and vehicle too!!!

Awesome job. I like it.
Nice creation mate. But your gonna roll over if you carry on with those crazy approach angles!
Nice work!
Cheers very nice buddy
I like it. could you do a video how you did your water tanks and black water for your toilet?
awesome build brother, but that music though......

The center of gravity of this vehicle is dangerously high. It is a serious accident turnover on its side waiting to happen.

sanjosemike yeah the rear end definitely should have been converted over to a dually 1 ton rear end and suspension

EXCELLENT CONVERSION!! Can you tell me where did you get the bed kit? thanks!
I like the bed design and other elements. Now, you will have to choose all, All your friends with a height restriction due to the head room. I know some short friends in Houston and NYC you can borrow.
neat, you might want to beef up the chassis body mounts as they snap off easily on road going sprinters.
Nice van sir hell of a job

In sure a real bed sleep so much better. But I would have build it in such a way you wouldnt have to convert the whole seating area first.
You can have two beds, with the table top and the back rests, I thought he was going to make a bed below. With the upper 1/2 way it's tight but, it is camping.
Great video. Great conversion. The end result is excellent. What are the dimensions of the box?

beautiful design-build ! though i don't think i would be doing too much off roading - very unbalanced
espectacular
excellent job
Il est trop génial, question, il couterait combien à l'achat " clés en main " ?
Who makes the bed lift ? ...thank you
Hydraulic bed. 👍
That van sways too much for my liking.
Dude. I need those bed parts, what's the setup called? Nothing like having a made bed that easily gets outa the way
Excellent 👍

yeah boiii!
Can you please provide some detail or links on the 4X4 conversion. Thanks.

can you only gain access to the living area from the back?
😍👍
Can you tell me where did you get the bed kit?
Nice conversion !
What is the estimative price, for similar conversion ?
Go syncro!
I don't care what it looks like on the outside, I wanna see the inside!
+Nick Pyne get your eyes checked.
what kind of tires did you use? are they super singles for front and back?
they look like BF Goodrich K02's
ooo how much $$ was that Ned system? ??
Awesome
Why no pass-through to the cab?
+Kevin Hornbuckle
the way to the cabin is through the ottoman located between the seats
+Bunkervan. es Thx! Love this van
He slid open the door, to the cab. at 5:56
"What is top heavy Alex?"
what model is the bus tyres ?

suspension work is needed badly. Then it would be perfect.
what is the vehicle at 0:08 on the left?
Your pictures need more light on the website...
Music?
Unfortunately I dislike the interior layout... but to each their own.

It's a Mercedes diesel, it gets over 25 mpg.
