It surprised me Gail completely ignored Frank's final wishes and did what she wanted with the estate! She wasn't the best of wives! Too bad you find that out after your dead!
I think the way he treated her for the duration of the marriage was why she did that. It looks like posthumous revenge for his decades of cheating on her and treating her like an asset. It's a shame she took it out on the kids, but she ended up pretty disturbed.
