    Dear Alexander, there are always the ignorant who won't understand but there is a huge wave of awareness in the horse world. Leaders ahead of a new movement of awareness are often attacked. Your work is breathtaking and your compassion consistent. Good luck in the future - love from America

    This is absolutely amazing!! He can do the piaffe and passage and pirouette better than most riders who use bits and spurs do! Wow i am in awe. And i love how the horse carries his head perfectly without the use of a bridle which shows that the perpendicular head carriage is a natural position for horses who are collected.

    I train horses for a living and I can tell you for sure that this man's horsemanship is at the pinnacle of what it could ever be. The Haute Ecole is exactly that, The High School & this man manages it without any restraints on the horse's head & without using fear or pain. For someone to be so angry and negative about him tells me only one thing, that their horse lives in a nightmare!

    You know I find it strange that people don't believe that you can acheive colletion without a bit or restraints... I was just on this other video and someone argued with me saying that 'collection can't be acheived without a steady push into the rein' What a Joke... Then they procceeded to tell me that my horses wern't collected on a loose rein and that they were hollow and on the forehand... I wasn't even asking my horse to collect in my video's! Some people are just rediculous!Love this video

  • @willowrivers

    i can tell you that a horse is not going to lie on its back with you in dominant position over it unless it trusts you. achieving bitless collection is awesome. achieving it without a bridle is many steps above that. seeing communication like that between horse and human is inspiring for those of use who train our own horses and aspire to perform feats like these.

    In a better saner world, this is how horses and riders would compete.
    If the world made sense, the HIGHER the level of competition, the LESS tack would be used.
    The way things are now, I'd be thrilled just to see an upper-level rider ride without a flash noseband. What is so impressive about FORCED obedience? How did we come to this?
    This guy should be given the Noble Peace Prize for showing we CAN co-exist with horses without force and coercion.

    I don't know anything about horses or this guy, so please correct me if I'm super wrong here... but in other animals, taking a vulnerable position & allowing a human to do something that might be viewed as "domination" (like a dog/cat lying on its back and letting you stroke its belly) is a sign of trust, and they do seem to enjoy it. Are horses so different? Surely if the horse were unhappy it could put a stop to it right quickly? Again I know nothing about horses but it doesn't seem unhappy.

    For one thing; i don't believe a proper sized bit and bridle in the right hands will harm a horse. Therefore I feel no regret to put a bit in my horses mouth; I don't intend to hurt him with it, i want to communicate with it.
    I can't ride bridleless all the time, because at this stage it compromises on finesse and can be dangerous when i ride on public roads or with other people and horses.
    A bit can be a much subtler aid, because it lies in one of the most sensitive parts of the horse

    @Karyn64 NHE (nevzorov haute Ecole) is not secret at all. His training technics is all about friendship, that's how he does all this, riding with just a cordeo and makes the horses to follow him. You can also join the NHE online "school" or forum. But there is a few rules: no bit, no shoes, no spores, no competitions. He doesn't ride with bit, that's why you cant find any photos or videos with him riding with the bit. He is not a liar at all...

    I've looked at his principles. It's a circus trick. Sure it takes forever to train but it's more patience and equine body language than "love". I ride my horses tackless, do a fair bit of natural horsemanship on the ground and have no qualms with whips, bits, spurs or saddles. This guy is an extremist of the horse world and I would like to see him complete a modern dressage test in a competition on any of these horses bridless.

    So the ugly comments aside... I've never met Alexander in person, haven't followed his career much, don't have an opinion him, and don't care. But what I do care about is the visible reaction of an animal, who is obviously drawn to him and appears quite happy. That's a *fact* that he must be doing something right. And that's enough for me to like what he does.

    Everytime people watch something like this they always write bad comments because they don't know what's behind all this, they just presume. It's like saying that all people who rides with bridles just do it because they don't have any control over their horse at all. I think Alexander is talented and why should he travel all over the world to learn other people what he does? NHE is all about to understand your horse and the horse inviting you to join. Bah, no more space to write more.

  • @universalradio
    @universalradio 15 лет назад

    A properly fitted bit - is fine. What will determine whether the bit is abusing the horse's mouth or not is the rider's seat.
    The expression "good hands" was heard when I was riding as a kid. It was a cardinal sin to pull on a horses' mouth with anything but the "squeezing of a sponge" movement. I'm amazed at how people now haul on horses' mouths. You must have an INDEPENDENT SEAT, which can only be acquired by riding, riding, riding - with no reins, and no stirrups, on a longe line.

    Therefore, you can do a lot less adn refine communication; make it clearer for the horse wahat you trie to teach him.
    Bits are in a sense for control, but never for holding back a horse! That is a misunderstanding. I believe that if you can't ride a horse bridleless, you shouldn't be riding with a bridle at all, because that little piece of metal will never keep a horse from running if he wants to.

    I agree horses would be happier left alone... But in the video Sentir, ressentir.... the horse is relaxed, soft in his attitude, doesn't swish his tail (sign of resistence)... I was comparing with the ones ridden by Nevzorov. I had horses and I could tell when my horses were willing and happy being ridden... when they prefered going on a trail instead of training in the arena... Communication is the key, not forcing things. Only my opinion.

  • @gmwwc
    @gmwwc 15 лет назад

    speedreader, in the USA. Google Pat Parelli and look at some of his work. He is an excellent communicator and master horseman. His teaching can help you develop what you are seeking without getting you killed. Also in your area look for an older talented horseman who might trade labor for lessons. There is no short easy path to this level of performance. This is like any other discipline, you grow old and die trying to improve. Today there are many teachers who will help you.

    Seems that we have a collection of people with anger issues looking for a likely target.
    Nevzorov is not the only one who's investigating another way of relating to horses.
    People should read Imke Spilker's book Empowering Horses.
    There's a revolution going on in everything we do that relates to the natural world. And as for horses...there are a host of horse people that are leading the way to change.
    But as with anything...there will be resistance before there is acceptance.

    He said: "Any herd or herd-like horse management is int...erdicted. Besides the rebuilding of the horse's entire musculature, herd living makes a horse very primitive and stupid, and returns the horse to the world of primitive ideas and manners. The reason he won't let them in is simple marketing psychology. This guy was in government PR for a long time, so he knows all about it. The more you hold something back, the more people want it. It's "exclusive", so everyone wants in. Especially if there's a good guilt trip attached.
    However; a true "savior" would be glad to share his wisdom. For free. If he truly wants to help ALL the horses, why not do it out of the goodness of his heart? I guess there's no money in THAT...

  • @Karyn64
    @Karyn64 12 лет назад

    Yes, the horses look very tense to me and apparently to others. Are you saying all the signs of tension can indicate something else? If the horse was just swishing it''s tail that may not be tension. Tight jaw and lips I would have to see what the horse was doing and all the signs of tension together are just that....tension. Not a relaxed horse. Note none of his horses are softly working through their back either. Another sign of tension.

    Actually if you look at this from a scientific view, as too many riders do not the bit does portray a problem. The horses anatomic structure, particularly the mouth was never designed to have the structure or pressure of the bit placed upon it. Riders hands, no matter how soft they are cannot make a statement over science!

    I am not saying that this is not impressing BUT! I don't believe that he trained the horse from the paddock to the Haute Ecole completely without a bit. There are certain things in dressage that simply require the positioning of the head. You might achieve this with a bidless bridle or a good halter but certainly not without any headgear at all. As soon as you can ride sth properly, it also works without the bridle. But starting without it - doubt it. Plus, he doesn't say he don't uses whips. ;)

  • @schnapps1992

    Ok... while my opinion doesn't count for much (if anything, i think you should just agree to disagree. I don't like having to use a bit but my yard gives me no choice so i am used to it. My horse is not in pain, he listens to me and is as light in the hand as i can get him at the moment.
    I don't ever think that two people with such strongly opposing views will ever agree on what is 'right' but the fact that you both care for horses should be good enough.
