Sorry for your loss Bill, your good friend Ray. But you will always have great memories of your friendship with him and no one can ever take this away. And that us a true blessing… Another great video. Thanks Again!
It’s nice to know even a pro like you will make a 12 Mike hike for no gold. It makes me feel better about all my gold-less hikes haha. I’ve walked some serious hikes for some new spots and have found zero many times. That’s the part of prospecting for new spots I guess. Cool video glad I ran into this older one.
Bill, thanks for the tips and stories of hunting your backyard. I'll look for a walnut Nugget next week and be grateful for the smaller ones we might get! Aaron
I just held a 1.5 oz nugget in my hand someone found, It was exiting I can imagine what it must feel like to find one in a crack like that!!!! I bet that was a rush for you finding those that day!!!! Keep up the search Bill!!!!
Shoot..I fill up the semi with diesel every Wednesday and Friday morning at the shell in Gila bend on the way to Yuma. Now I'm going to be completely distracted around there 🤪🚛 wow 6 or 7 oz in a weekend, I hope I can come across that in my lifetime.
That new wash is treating you well Bill. What a great story of the galena and chunky nuggets. A fella could sure get used to days like that eh. A nugget for your troubles and some great stories and chat. Thanks a bunch fella !
This is so cool! I'm going to go to Cave Creek and try my luck. Been learning to pan for gold using paydirt. Thank you Sir for being my encouragement here in Az
Where in Cave Creek are you gonna go? I just moved to Arizona in August just before the Anthem area, and where I used to live in California was gold heaven (Oroville) so now I've been thinking about beginning the process of looking for areas and gathering equipment.
Nathan Kaopua oh my goodness. I grew up in Los Angeles. When I was in school at Loma Linda, I would go off roading checking out the old gold mines! Cave Creek has many , many areas to look for gold! Within the ‘Golden Triangle ‘ are great places to go and there are a lot of them..... Googling the Golden Triangle you can see the large area of Az that is mapped, fertile with gems and precious metals... One of my patient’s I saw years ago owns a lot of land filled with such soil. He is an actual prospector. He found a way to sift the soil and separate the different kinds of gems and precious metals with the help of European technology. At that time, years ago, he had lawyers and was in set up mode. Always wanted to know how profitable it was! He said his daughter and son in law were metal detecting in the Bradshaw Mountains and found an old barn. They found old coins, two were gold! Treasure is out there
Awesome video fantastic history you shared Galena dam that would throw a guy off beautiful area you got a nugget awesome you u never know what u can find or see lv it thank u be safe
Now with new mtal detectors might be easier. Superstition mountains is out I bet. But very interesting place to explore. Best was mogol rim areas dead Indian stuff but against law now. Lots of pottery chips. Worl
I need to get down there with you again! Always enjoy doing a hunt with you. Good to do it vicariously through these videos but more fun doing it in person! We always seem to have a little fun doing something whether we find gold or not!
Do you or do you know of any metal detecting paid trips, outing, vacations or adventures that anyone could go to this coming Thanksgiving within Arizona? Bill do you create metal detecting trips?
Love your streak-tester/blower tube! I found a few of those porcelain insulators in a WW1 training camp...now I just need a plastic straw. Thanks for the idea :>) Ha!
A question: I notice when you use a PI machine, you seem to dip the coil down and lift it as you pass over the target. But when using the Monster, you sweep more level and side to side. Is this a normal sweeping motion for a PI machine? Will you demonstrate your sweep method with the PI machine in your next video????
@@NUGGETSHOOTER Thank you for the reply. The reason I asked is because when I moved to Arizona years ago, a claim owner was on trial for murder in Phoenix. Someone was prospecting on his claim and he shot him. The outcome of the case was that the court upheld 1863 mining laws that allow one to protect their claim and acquited the guy. I think that was the year of the laws but, it was around that time. So please be careful when searching.
@@NUGGETSHOOTER At 32 years old, I've yet to do the first step into finding gold. I've lived in some pretty good areas in the past, & had plenty of thoughts (Gold Fever with Tom Massie) but I was worried about other stuff like cows & trees. I have a little place in Curry Co OR that I'll get back out to some time soon hopefully.
i really like your stories, and the beautiful land
Bill I could listen to you all day long 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❣
Sometimes the treasure is the journey. Thanks for sharing Bill.
You are welcome my friend
I like using a backpack while metal detecting, I carry a half gallon canteen and a 12 inch gold pan in it with tools, plenty of room to spare \m/
Lunch with Bill is always great, would love to do it in person someday.
You can on November 15 near Morristown
Loving the stories, Bill. Thank you for sharing.

Indonesia detecting 🙋🙋🙋
Wow extreme desert ring toss. Only in az. Nice find
Hahahahaha good one Rob
Thanks for taking us along Bill. Question on a budget will the Bounty Hunter Tracker iv detect gold nuggets or pickers ? Thx in advance.
I have never tried it, but the issue would be in the hot soil and if it will be stable with enough sensitivity to hear targets.

Looked at superstition mountains before closed to mining. With metal detector. Found mostly junk but lots of agate and domes for polishing. Now e

Not off hand, laws have changed some making it difficult to offer paid trip. I think there are still some doing it though.

When listening intently and trying to pinpoint I do that yes.
Hey Bill. Did you spend time up in Pittsburgh? The way you said samich for sandwich is the way a lot of Pittsburghers say it.
Nope, just picked it up from my Grandpa I think long ago
Most everywhere in Arizona is claimed, do you jump the claims or do you get permission to hunt them?
There are open areas if one knows how to find them and more than you think. yes I also have private claims to hunt as well as club claims.
