For me that scene with Sajid and Raji was not a romantic one. I feel like Sajid was immediately drawn to her when he met her, he was curious about her, we've seen that he's been constantly assessing her, her capabilities, her motivations and reasoning etc. So that moment i feel like was just him being in awe of her courage and resilience and him trying to let her know that he respects her as a person. Even if he did have some romantic feelings for her, that moment was not supposed to be romantic. And I feel like the reason that moment was important from Raji's pov is that she's been constantly abused and assaulted by men all her life, we've seen it happen multiple times this season only, but in that moment there was this guy who only saw a brave, dedicated fighter in her. He saw her as a human being and not a piece of meat. It was a beautiful moment tbh. Fantastic writing man!
There was something semi-romantic imo, especially before this ep when she pulls his hand and draws a map out. Wasn’t really necessary for the mission, or the explanation :)

The thing is that no one knows how the real top officials behave.....all of our perception is made through movies that too from Hollywood movies.....even the top officials are common person...so chill out bro....Dilip Taheel was not that bad.
Dilip Tahils role depicts how High level bureaucrats end up becoming a mouthpiece of their bosses and how they get mashed between logical thinking and following orders.
The pm is probably more realistic than what Hollywood portrays, every president is "presidential ". The character is based on someone real and the person portrayed would probably be overdoing everything rather than the other way around
As regards to the PM not giving in to change the location of the meeting is being replicated from ex PM Rajiv Gandhi’s life who was assassinated.. he was told in advance not to attend the public rally but he didn’t listen.. I am sure that is background of the fiction here.. see Madras Cafe for similar content
The Prime minister’s POV is inspired from real life. Late PM Rajiv Gandhi continued his public meeting against the advise of the intelligence units coz the socio political situation around the Tamil agitation at the time required India to pose a certain way. Coming to the creative liberty here, there is a parallel drawn to head strong politicians of today who care about a intl image & that’s why perhaps the manic stubbornness to it. So yes a mix of both cultural diff and creative emphasis for relevance.
The man who fit the c4 in plane he took 10 hours to build detonator and also he given the list that requires for detonator then after he fited in plane...
The respect for Raji...shown by Sajid was because both have traversed the same path. They both feel exploited by govt and society. So, seeing Raji survive everything and still driving mission brings sense of respect for her.
So the role of PM is played very well, when seen from the lens of Indian Politicians. Her delivery is quite dry and seems arrogant at times, but that is how powerful people have to be. They gotta be stubborn. But the fact that she is dictating the security detail is questionable. Intelligence doesn't listen to the person they're trying to protect. If they see there is danger, they will not allow. So there is some leeway in that sense
Indian system of security briefings isn't like the American one where the president has to listen to the security. The series is perhaps much more closer to reality. This includes that government babu flavour where even the security can be bullied on and blames for negligence even if it's not their own fault and warned them of it earlier itself.
Her delivery isn't dry. It's diplomatic. It's inspired from people who need to have a diplomatic delivery. Then we all ask ourselves, all this trouble for what? Just the PMs of 2 countries meeting together? Nah. It's the port deal and the significance of dominating the Indian oceans which drawfs all those things. Those are the things which matter to the country. That just means she delivered her dialogues diplomatically. That is why she says "big picture". Making it clear that she is ready to give her life for the port deal. Imagine a Lankan and an Indian pm dying while signing a deal...whatever the context the deal then becomes too important not to sign for the next leaders of both the nations. This just means that the Indian PM has it in mind that India needs to dominate Indo-pacific, even if she is dead.
You'll know Jaby Koay is a good man when you realise he is actually tensed about the girl when she's not picking up her mom's phone.. And on top of that, he is sincerely hoping Suchi calls Srikant again and not her friend. On the Dilip tahil point i would say he is a very senior and recognised actor and his performances are very to the point. No overdoing and no low key. He is just to the point. But when u say u r watching with outstanding performances all the other actors even of they are good will feel low because of the overshadowing. I agree with this point
Yes detonator is needed, So in the scene at 9:56 in Ep-7 they have shown the that Sajid is making a new detonator which will be ready in next 12-14 hrs
That dalip tahil thing, I felt that too. You aren't alone jaby. The whole leadership feels like that. Shrikant's boss and dalip tahil's character, sambit and basu. They all feel over done. Bit underwritten in my opinion. They just feel like they are there for just comic relief and just to get some words out to the audience just to make the story move. They are all good actors, but there is something in the portrayal that brings me out of that illusion that I am in the show with them. In comparison, smaller actors which were previously unknown to me did a far better job. I hope they fix this in the next season. Plus there were multiple Inconsistencies for lack of a better term in the show. I just wish they consult some veterans. I think they are in a dire need of some veterans and their advices and insights.
16.05 completely agree. I feel his character lacks depth. he basically says the same thing again and again and again......just with different words. not sure if it has something to do with his acting or the characterizaton
True.. And in this season his character wasn't even explored much. In the last season he atleast had few good scenes. He is a fine actor so it mostly with writing his character and the dialogues and scenes given to him. I felt the same with Deepan and Vipin Sharma's character too. They were good but I felt overall their dialogues and scenes could have been better.
@@v27027 yeah you are right about that. I was'nt on par with other characters. and like Jaby said maybe its because of the difference in depth of the characters. and yes again like you said their scenes could have been better. felt generic/below par comparing it with other scenes.
To prepare a great soup you need all ingredients, some less, some more.. Just because Salt tastes good, you can't just add lots of salt.. Manoj is best, Sam is a great spice, other ingredients adds to the flavour. Just because you didn't taste the spice you can't conclude it was unnecessary..
PM Basu was adamant just to drive the plot forward (we all know it)...they didn't explain it enough (but that's not lazy on writers)..they didn't have to because indian audiences can fill in by themselves the reasoning behind her stubbornness.. probably by relating to one or two of India's former Prime Ministers
A few things i would like to add- 1) Problem with american audience is that you guys want drama in everything. 2) There will always be a language barrier no matter what. 3) Dilip Tahil and Seema Biswas's charaters are supposed to act in a certain way, they are high up in power, there are only certain amount of emotions they can show. 4) Sajid has made a new detonator, you would catch up on that if you focused more on the series rather than just comparing it with the last season. Personally for me, this season surpassed the last season in terms of story telling and intensity, i am glad how much Raj & DK and the entire team have been able to achieve in times of covid and all, i am a long time subscriber but i get frustrated sometimes just because you guys get stuck on one certain thing, just saying.
See closely.....in previous episodes Sajid asked for to bring materials and he would improvise detonators which will need 12 hours to make. It's the first scene when they arrive at Tigris Aviation
while talking of the charachter PM bose (seema Biswas) one must remember that enough reference to her "prejudices", long term friendship with the Lankan PM charachter and her want to upstage the Chinese in SL is a derivative of her behaviour. The political shaming the charachter goes through and her taking it personally explains her stance too.not that its correct, but thats the charachter and the decisions made by the charachter. not to forget this entire charade is being orchestrated by Pak maj Sameer to avenge zulfiqar's failure. I think Season 2 is a bit more nuanced in the story. Jaby could watch it again or may be think over it again. PS: i would love it if Raj and DK could tie this up with the Chinese using Maj Sameer to derail the deal between Ind-SL, which sameer uses to exact revenge as well.

+1. Dalip Tahil and that sharma guy is a poor choice for this role. Same with the lady who played the PM.
@@zaxcollix123 that lady who played the PM is btw one of the greatest actors in the industry, she has received national award multiple times. Her role as phulan devi is still taught in many acting schools.
@@dorz3321 its sad that people dont recognize Seema Biswas, such a brilliant actor. Be it Hindi, Assamese, Bengali or any other regional movie she has always given top performance
@@dorz3321 i think we believe her cause we know her and about her achievements where as these folks are judging her performance on bases of only this show
The thing is that no one knows how the real top officials behave.....all of our perception is made through movies that too from Hollywood movies.....even the top officials are common person...so chill out bro....Dilip Taheel was not that bad.
For me Satya & Kaun are Manoj's absolute best performances.
Dilip Tahils role depicts how High level bureaucrats end up becoming a mouthpiece of their bosses and how they get mashed between logical thinking and following orders.
I again clicked faster than the speed of light
Mee tooo😂
😂
😂😅
It's so sad that Asif Basra (the actor who played the counselor) passed away very recently.
The pm is probably more realistic than what Hollywood portrays, every president is "presidential ". The character is based on someone real and the person portrayed would probably be overdoing everything rather than the other way around
Exactly. I feel if the real person was in the position, she'd be a lot less considerate.
Yeah he was also killed by sri lankan tamilian (this organization which is showed in the show)
But he was not pm at that time I guess????
Guys ... SAJID character says that he need to prepare other detonator... just look that part once again
I thought she was kind of mirroring our current PMs attitude. I imagine that's how these meetings must be going in PM office lol.
4:46 C4 need detonators. And Sajid said that he will build the detonators and asked that Tamil man to bring get the material he needs to build it.
Syntell's Michael Jordan Analogy can be applied to Sachin and other all time greats who played with him in the same team.
The God and the Wall
The counsellor is Asif Basra,he passed away recently b4 the show got released. #RIP
You'll know Jaby Koay is a good man when you realise he is actually tensed about the girl when she's not picking up her mom's phone.. And on top of that, he is sincerely hoping Suchi calls Srikant again and not her friend.
Out of probably hundreds of episodes I have watched, I would say, that small 15-20 seconds, are the best reflection of his true self.
There is going to be a lot of comments out here, I just want to let this out, I love Syntell. He is good and I resonate with his views.
I seriously want Jaby and Syntel to do more.. shows together... Like i love the discussion...that comes after the episode, and i would love to see them watch and discuss other stuff.
Jaby & Syntell just remember Manoj Sir & Seema Mam worked in a movie called Bandit Queen in 1994. Both are terrific actors. You guys are doing great. God bless you🙏
The ending shot showcases the irony that the lover( kalyan) is looking at his girlfriend chained on the bed, but can't help her in anyway
Sajid made the detonator himself.
Hats off on the Dalip Tahil thing. He's always had a presence but his ability never matched it.
His character is badly written and is only there for show without any depth
I totally agree with your point @15:53
11:23 Jaby he already said he needs sometime to make new detonators ..how did you miss that...🤔
On the Dilip tahil point i would say he is a very senior and recognised actor and his performances are very to the point. No overdoing and no low key. He is just to the point. But when u say u r watching with outstanding performances all the other actors even of they are good will feel low because of the overshadowing. I agree with this point
Was Eagerly waiting...
Maybe you didn't listen it carefully sajid said that he will need 8 to 12 hrs to make new detonators. And he made it
bruh watching your reaction is like watching a series you love with your friend and seeing there reaction
hey syntell do take care of your health bro.. its always fun to watch your reaction with jaby
5:22 Finale reaction will be fun 😂😂
NOOOO!!!😶😶....SAJID HIMSELF SAID HE WILL MAKE ANOTHER DETONATOR WHICH WILL TAKE HIM FEW HOURS (in this episode only)!!!!🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
To prepare a great soup you need all ingredients, some less, some more..
Just because Salt tastes good, you can't just add lots of salt..
Manoj is best, Sam is a great spice, other ingredients adds to the flavour.
Just because you didn't taste the spice you can't conclude it was unnecessary..
Underrated comment👌
The irony and sad part is that the actor who played the counsellor (therapist), Asif Basra had committed suicide on 12.11.2020
PM Basu was adamant just to drive the plot forward (we all know it)...they didn't explain it enough (but that's not lazy on writers)..they didn't have to because indian audiences can fill in by themselves the reasoning behind her stubbornness.. probably by relating to one or two of India's former Prime Ministers
A few things i would like to add-
1) Problem with american audience is that you guys want drama in everything.
Bro you should watch family man memes you are going to love it
Love you bro 💗
Send me link
He should do a livestream 👍
while talking of the charachter PM bose (seema Biswas) one must remember that enough reference to her "prejudices", long term friendship with the Lankan PM charachter and her want to upstage the Chinese in SL is a derivative of her behaviour.
You know... Syntell looke great talking n expressing himself and Jaby looks great just listening to him talk
27:45 it is realist. Not too realistic in today's time but in past decade India had politicians who once took a stand would not move even if it is life threatening. There are many instances, many examples of politicians.
Like? What in last decade? 🙄
@@dss6838 I would not like to take names. But a few in UP, Bihar, Bengal, centre,
In past decades, Late Indra Gandhi was one who when took a stand then not easily moved by external force, be her stand right or wrong. And was same with Late Sanjay Gandhi but in his case his stands were mostly right. Now a days PM modi ji is also like that their party in last 7 years have not took a u turn from ANY decision be it good or bad, right or how much wrong. They have definitely took a stiil in their stand in a few cases but never a U-turn. But it's little different with Modi ji, he has tried to learn from mistakes of Indra ji, but it seems like he too is moving in the same direction as was she. Modi ji, BJP rose from resisting and being against Indra ji in her bad decisions and today it seems he is becoming what he was fighting against initially.
And Late Thakrey ji.
Syntell "s insight is spot on
I like the way jaby laughs "feeeeeeeehhhhhh hahahahhahahhaa "
Sajid was the explosives expert if you remember from the first season, and he building a new detonator for this bomb in this one which you might have missed it.....
Love syntel t shirt remind me of “share it “app
2015-18 vibes 😂❤
Again.. The PM lady doesn't show that she's been fighting against gender roles because it's simply not present here in India.. at least not to be a PM, CM or President.
Perfect dissection.
Sajid made the detonators on his own in 12 hrs
Jabby don't Google thinks like that
U could be arrested for that ...
Bruh you should see the search history of a writer lol. They amount of weird stuff that's exists. Gunshot wounds, how soon can a person die due to choking, can someone live after being shot in the head. Yeah I'm sure some of us are in RAW's watch list lol 😆😂
Arrested obviously not no one can be arrested for their google searches yeah Security agencies may track you Secretly
Jaby, the guy made the detonators..they show him making them as he is souldering some stuff. And as Syntell was confused as what that guy's speciality was..Raji can fight..and this guy is from the first season who detonates the scooter bomb. He is continuing his role as the explosive expert from the first season. He was a major part of Mission zulfiqar in season 1
Syntel is great in understanding Indian feeling...
5:26 FBI looking at jaby's search history like O_O
Oh my go! jaby and his references -
Getting old now, and I am starting to tune him out.
amazing jaby ......i get impressed everyday
Jaby searching about C4 and detonators at 5:15 ....
they are gonna laugh at last if they remember this search result
Syntell koay is just amazing big fan jaby and syntell keep it on
Good observations...
We will miss you sir your last role as a physiatrist will be memorable 🙏❤
The name of the film is shor,a movie with same name directed by Raj and DK.
you are right. they played milind's favorite song that he was earlier playing and fighting with muthu.
More than 20 mins of post episode discussion. That is more than OSR's whole video duration
5:15 now Jaby is under CIA, FBI, military watch 😂😂😂😂
RIP Milind.. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ hero indeed.
Talk about getting 'overshadowed'
Rahul Dravid : Yeah, I know that
