      @
      1) Reservations are a counterproductive solution because it makes the society less meritocratic. The US is beginning to realize the disastrous effects that Affirmative Action has had and is scrambling to move away from it. The solution for bettering the economic condition of the Indians that are less fortunate is to ensure that they have access to quality education and healthcare. Not to pretend they are deserve the positions they are given on the basis of reservations which is what is happening now.
      2) Even the educated minority that I have met in major cities struggle to read, write, and articulate their thoughts in English. Nothing needs to be said about what the proficiency level of the majority of “English Speakers” of this country actually is.
      3) Corruption at every level of the society, all the way from our political leaders to our garbage collector is a symptom of the weakening of an already flawed system of morality that undergirds our society.

    China is more practical and intelligent because they had pursued a manufacturing based industry when they are poor and technologically low during the 1940s after independence. India on the other hand pursues a service based industry during the 1940s when they are technologically low and poor as well after independence. IQ matters.🤭Now, India is focusing on manufacturing and trying to copy China's success but it is too late. China has move on to high tech manufacuring such as solar panels, EV vehicles and EV batteries, aviation, consumer drones etc. and so on from low tech manufacturing. • @cemetry
      @cemetry 3 дня назад +6

      Just like racism against people of color in US is a social issue and not a government's policy, caste system is a ingrained social issue in India. People do discriminate against other people they deem inferior to them. To check that Indian constitution has adopted a reservation system to bring equity to the table for those who are discriminated against.
      Only people who have NEVER been ostracized against for a social construct and something they had no choice over, will demonize the mere number of opportunities reserved for the few unfortunates. They are also the very same people who will not miss an opportunity to let people know what "upper caste" they belong to. People who are deemed "lower caste" DON'T feel the pride in being termed as so. Only amendment I think is required in the reservation system is that it should also start taking account of the financial situation of the people. If they are ST/SC/OBC but has a good family income, they should be exempted from the reservation, but it would be applicable to very few families. Most ST/SC/OBC are living in the rural areas and aren't even going to schools.
      So blame the caste discrimination, not the reservation or the people merely trying to get equal opportunities as others. India can and will grow into a better country & economy without removing the reservation system. The education system however do need to take a major shift towards skill development, civil responsibilities, and financial knowledge right from the early stages of school education.

    😂😂😂 Never ever listen to these Indian "experts". I will bet my right hand, that if India continues with the same economical and political system that it has now, it won't reach anywhere near today's China even in 50 years. Yes, GDP wise it will reach to where China is today in a couple of decades, but it is foolish to believe that GDP numbers are an accurate, or even an approximate depiction of a country's development. Of GDP numbers are true, India would be where China was in 2008, but it isn't.

    Looking how pathetic the performance of india is from sports, science to even cleaning up its air. I doubt it even can reach half of China's current potential in decades to come. West can propagandize or make it as poster child, but the reality is, India will be a bigger version of Brazil, a mediocre power with limited economic power due to corruption and incompetent population. Look at the South Asian Sphere, their richest country is pitiful which is Maldives which so tiny and got rich due to tourism and has barely have same per capita of CHINA. The rest of that region are either hell holes with no bright future to come.

    • @user-jt3dw6vv4x
      @user-jt3dw6vv4x 2 дня назад +7

      You must be an Indian to be saying this. Pitiful? How is the Maldives pitiful? It's the richest nation in South Asia with a relatively good living standard. Why are you so judgemental and hateful? Sri Lanka, despite going through an economic crisis, still has a much better living standard than India and Bhutan has plans to become a high income nation in 10 years. The small South Asian nations are fine. The problem are the huge overpopulated nations of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It's a disgrace that Maldives, Sri Lanka and Bhutan have to be grouped with those big huge Desi nations.

    • @reedgomes9246
      @reedgomes9246 2 дня назад +6

      You're literally from Cebu City, Philippines and you're here degrading the Maldives and other South Asian nations? 💀Are you serious right now? Have you been to the Maldives? There are so many Filipinos working in the Maldives because the Philippines is so poor. Don't humiliate yourself like this.

    • @reedgomes9246
      @reedgomes9246 2 дня назад +5

      How are you going to come from the Philippines and attack other developing nations when the Philippines is still so poor??? 💀 The richest nation in Southeast Asia is Singapore, a country that was developed by Lee Kuan Yew along with his 3 close friends (3 ethnic Chinese and 1 Tamil). Mind you, the "poorest" community in Singapore are the native Southeast Asians while the Singaporeans of ethnic Chinese and Indian/Tamil origin are well off. Humble yourself. Istg giving widespread internet access to some of these developing nations was a huge mistake.

      India produces the second largest amount of STEM graduates in the world. Those Indians and their descendants end up moving to other nations and doing well for themselves. Do you think sport is just the Olympics? India did better during the Paralympics and they're also good at cricket. Indians also do well with spelling bees and chess tournaments.
