The guest raised the key difference, which the anchor wont raise as it does not suit her narrative: democracy in India, versus totalitarianism in China. India is like Europe if it could ever become one country: pluralistic, multilingual. Celebrate that, or we would have what we have had and are having now in Europe, multiple states constantly fighting each other. Compare India to Europe and celebrate the unity, and the progress achieved since colonial rule. Can it be better, of course, but democracy has faults
There was something called Demonetization, which was implemented overnight by the Indian government unannounced. Imagine this, 80 percent of the monetary value was announced invalid in a single night. Not even the in the most authoritarian countries, you would ever seen such overnight things happening. India poses itself like a Democracy, just like the western countries.

Infrastructure needs to get better and more importantly most of us Indians have a defensive mindset - We cannot accept criticism and just blame everything on foreign colonial mindset or any other excuse that WE can find. On top of that there is caste, geographical and religious divisions (NORTH-SOUTH, HINDU-MUSLIM etc.). We aren't a united country where as China and the West are more homogenous so they have that going for them. Let's start by cleaning more than just your home first. Look at our streets. Disgusting.
Yes. Most Indians chose to ignore the most relevant part but fall for the US and western hype, tactics and wishful thinking.

In 1990s top economist said that china will be nominal 1 trillion economy in 2024 😂😂😂. They have become Joke
Bro, it's too late...
Back in 1990, countries tend to promote free trade rather than protectionism, and China found a huge opportunity. The pollution problem was not highlight as much as today, so China could grow with cheap energy, like coal.
Now, every country promote protectionism, and we are more aware about pollution problem, every channel news around the world talked about the Smog that hit New Delhi, back then when the same smog appeared in Beijing or Shanghai, we did not care much, it was a chinese problem...
So yeah, you can have maybe 7-8% GDP growth, but that growth is when China's economy was already slowing down...
India finally realizes that a 5 times smaller economy India can never beat a 5 times bigger economy China. In war, it is all about economics. How much money can you spare to build 1 missile, 1 drone etc .... which is why *India's Foreign Minister Jaishankar, in his exact words and quotes, "China is a bigger economy than India and we cannot pick a fight with a bigger economy."* 😅🤣😂World Bank 2023 states that China's GDP = 17.79 trillion dollars whereas India 3.55 trillion dollars. China 's economy is 5 times bigger than India. Wait, that's not all. The trade deficit came at USD 101.28 billion as India's imports from China witnessed an increase by 118.77% to reach USD 118.77 billion (Source: Embassy of India, Beijing, dated 26 Sept 2024)
Source: “India wasn’t a big economy…” Rahul Gandhi takes on S Jaishankar over his remark on China (Ani News) dated Feb 26, 2023.
No way, gen ai will literally destroy all IT companies like Infosys, tcs etc and also service sector like pwc offices (accounting, etc : service sector outsourcing). Robotics will also take good portion of jobs. There's 1.4 billion population how will they create new jobs in this situation. Ironically Indian govt like ex rbi chief prefers AI companies over manufacturing.

WTF , INDIA is a democracy and the GOVT has to run with regard to constitution and LAW etc and Govt in INDIA have to face elections other constrains but CHINA is controlled and ruled by a group CCP who has no fear of elections , Constitution , LAW etc. how can INDIA grow in Double Digits like CHNIA and lets be honest USA and EUROPE dumped entire Manufacturing in CHINA for Cheap labor and used CHINA as a Counter to USSR in 1980s.. So INDIA will grow slowly and yes CHINA Economic might is reality we all must accept and INDIA needs CHINA and WEST to grow economy.

as indian, india has wasted 2 decades already
How? Will you elaborate please or just another vague statement like your Prime Minister gives every other day.
if indias growth won't be like China then why so much insecurity in western world?🙄
😂😂😂 Never ever listen to these Indian "experts". I will bet my right hand, that if India continues with the same economical and political system that it has now, it won't reach anywhere near today's China even in 50 years. Yes, GDP wise it will reach to where China is today in a couple of decades, but it is foolish to believe that GDP numbers are an accurate, or even an approximate depiction of a country's development. Of GDP numbers are true, India would be where China was in 2008, but it isn't.
Looking how pathetic the performance of india is from sports, science to even cleaning up its air. I doubt it even can reach half of China's current potential in decades to come. West can propagandize or make it as poster child, but the reality is, India will be a bigger version of Brazil, a mediocre power with limited economic power due to corruption and incompetent population. Look at the South Asian Sphere, their richest country is pitiful which is Maldives which so tiny and got rich due to tourism and has barely have same per capita of CHINA. The rest of that region are either hell holes with no bright future to come.
You must be an Indian to be saying this. Pitiful? How is the Maldives pitiful? It's the richest nation in South Asia with a relatively good living standard. Why are you so judgemental and hateful? Sri Lanka, despite going through an economic crisis, still has a much better living standard than India and Bhutan has plans to become a high income nation in 10 years. The small South Asian nations are fine. The problem are the huge overpopulated nations of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It's a disgrace that Maldives, Sri Lanka and Bhutan have to be grouped with those big huge Desi nations.
You're literally from Cebu City, Philippines and you're here degrading the Maldives and other South Asian nations? 💀Are you serious right now? Have you been to the Maldives? There are so many Filipinos working in the Maldives because the Philippines is so poor. Don't humiliate yourself like this.
How are you going to come from the Philippines and attack other developing nations when the Philippines is still so poor??? 💀 The richest nation in Southeast Asia is Singapore, a country that was developed by Lee Kuan Yew along with his 3 close friends (3 ethnic Chinese and 1 Tamil). Mind you, the "poorest" community in Singapore are the native Southeast Asians while the Singaporeans of ethnic Chinese and Indian/Tamil origin are well off. Humble yourself. Istg giving widespread internet access to some of these developing nations was a huge mistake.
Stop comparing China with India. China is far more advanced than India. I'm sick of people always comparing because both countries have 1 billion people and in Asia. Stop it. India is more like your Philippines.
India produces the second largest amount of STEM graduates in the world. Those Indians and their descendants end up moving to other nations and doing well for themselves. Do you think sport is just the Olympics? India did better during the Paralympics and they're also good at cricket. Indians also do well with spelling bees and chess tournaments. They do well in their own areas. Stop being so hateful
😂India is No.1
Don't you have any other news ? 😅
