These smaller, more affordable cabins are a great idea. We will likely be looking at getting a couple of these for Wyoming. Will document our build if people are interested.

These are awesome to see you guys! Such a great idea for those of us looking to diy! Im from the uk but have land in canada, im saving to be able to build my dream home and a few holiday homes there and this sort of thing is ideal for my holiday home plans!
Today is January 24 and I am in Alaska visiting my brother. I’ll be posting my entire trip with the first episode launching tomorrow. I will also be doing video of a Log Home in Alaska that we built in 2023. Then I’ll be driving home through Canada the next few days. Where is your property located in Canada?

I currently have a good plot of of mostly woodland over in ontario :) its unorganised township land and has only an old logging track from the highway onto to the property so next year i need to get a good 6 months out there to propperly construct a roadway to where we plan to build but when im out there ill be sure to get some video and pop you an email so you can see what were working with :)

How do you do plumbing in a log cabin?? In the larger cabins is there a utility room/space?
Plumbing is done inside the interior frame walls.
If utilizing a concrete slab, could in floor heating be used to heat the cabin ?
Yes, floor heat is absolutely a good option.
Can you put these cabins on a basement foundation?
Yes, you can do that but when they’re so small, it would be difficult to put a basement stairway in because it would take away room from the cabin.

Well, we’ve thought about it. Maybe we are. I can speak Yiddish with my Jewish friends because the Pennsylvania German language is so similar. Our last names are also many Jewish last names. I’ll have to do a video series on our particular language, some folks have been asking for it.
