The heavier drum beats add an unexpected level of intensity I think the original piece really needed.

I agree with you, MrCrunchytime. I like this one more. The original was great, but it’s not perfect. Things can ALWAYS be improved. Being an original version of something doesn’t mean it’s perfect, without any room for improvement.

Yeah, the heartless fight in 3 was very weak. Mostly because of the lack of variety and the garbo attractions
If only we had gotten to face Behemoth Heartless in KH3 and bigger Nobodies and Unversed in the 10k Heartless fight:/ the lack of variety in Nobodies and Unversed was underwhelming

Love this song. This part in the beginning of kh1, the heartless are infinitely spawning. I spent hours here once, trying to level up as much as I could before I had to leave Destiny Island.

you explore destiny islands as a kh world one more time in kh3 and sora has to defeat the remaining heartless on destiny islands ,and open the keyhole to the next world and fight darkside again in order to do so.

Your music is never really bad but for me the orchestral and original versions are the best, this is still great especially as a remix with the new instruments and all that, but for me my bar of standards is basically in the heavens for this KH song in particular, I remember when I first played this game when I was younger, I felt just like Sora on that island, I didn't know what the hell to do because it was Kingdom Hearts 1 so I just ran around , this song set in a level of anxiety and paranoia I wouldn't feel again until around 5 or 6 years later in which my anxiety had a much more serious cause, but I like the song itself just because it gave me anxiety all those years ago doesn't mean I hate this song, it makes me feel brave and strong because I made it through the game anyway through the darkness and through this haunting track.
I was young back then, nowadays those oversized ants would never scare me, Keyblade or not, I'll beat them to death with a stick like Roxas did in 358 if I have to, so it's not really your fault my bar for standards on this particular track is just too high, but you nailed it back on Liberi Fatali, your version is my favourite version of this track to this day, so no, it's not impossible to make a track that is better than the original but on this one in particular I cannot be satisfied, I feel like it's the bass that needs to be looked at in a lot of the remixes of this song, the loud bass made it so intense and brilliant to listen too, that's the main reason I can listen to the song after all these years otherwise I wouldn't think twice about this track other than yeah it's haunting, but since my ears have heard the original that bassline of the original can never be un-heard.
