Water and electric hook ups, my home is pet friendly. Just rap on the door, come in for AC, a shower or just a wander through to my very rustic deck overlooking the Northport Harbour. Home to about 80 lobster/fishing boats. You be you and I'll be me. Maybe we can even share a meal and a drink. Just stay safe and keep enjoying life. 😊👍🏻
Moved from the UK to the Fraser Valley in 1967, Vancouver was really nice in those days. 30 min drive into the city with zero traffic on a freeway that had just been built. Nowadays I find the traffic too horrendous to even think about going into the city. And, property prices now, don't even go there. To bad you didn't make it to the Island as Vancouver pales in comparison to Victoria in my opinion. Really enjoy your videos as you guys are just so natural.
We were so gutted we couldn't make it to the island. It was something we'd been looking forward to for weeks. But it just wasn't meant to be this time. Usually cities + van + dogs never mix well and we avoid them at all costs, but our little spots in Vancouver were beautiful and I think the change of pace for us was really nice. Being in hustle and bustle after months in the wilderness!
Sad you didn’t see Van Island. So glad you loved Canada. You would love to do a full cross Canada trip. Every province is different. Thanks for the kind words on our beautiful, fascinating country and the friendly helpful people. ❤❤❤
@@celinel9750 they said first time ever in Canada, I have watched all from landing in NS and even some further back. We were thinking of making a van into a camper. I do not see a full Canada not north America across trip, hitting every province trip. See other countries etc and watched as said all rest.
A full Canada trip is top of our bucket list. We have so much left here to see and this won't be the last time we're here. Vancouver Island isn't getting away from us that easily! And we shipped into Halifax but haven't actually driven the entire country. We dropped down into the States last autumn and looped back into Alberta in April! 😃 💛

I think this small parenthesis of some weeks, however tiring, was full of shared moment with loved ones that made you a whole lot of good because you literally SHINE now! Also, really glad to hear the dogs have enjoyed their own getaway with an amazing petsitter. I was wondering about that. Myself have trusted my beloved cat this summer for the first time ever to an amazing petsitter for 2 weeks, who sent me videos every day, and I know how much of a joy and relief it is to see and know our babies are well cared for while we have to part from them.

It's so sad you didn't make it to Vancouver Island. Torino is an amazing place and the trees on Mears island are HUGE. Some estimated to be 1500 yrs old! Hopefully you are planning to drive thru the Redwood Forest on Oregon and California. It truly is spectacular. Yellowknife is being evacuated right no because of a forest fire right now so you were blessed to have seen her before the fires. Praying everyone and their animals make it safely out. Drive save and looking forward to the journey down to Argentina.
I know we are absolutely gutted. But we aren’t done with Canada yet and we’ll be back to see the island, maybe for longer than 2 weeks next time. Redwoods are on the list too! It’s horrific seeing what’s happening up in the Yukon, wildfires this year have been so bad 😢 xx

Bellingham, San Juan Islands, Whidbey Island, Anacortes, Deception Pass, Port Townsend - Once you get to Forks, Washington, there's a great beach west of there - Rialto Beach and also Mora Campground near there. I would call it a "must see" (but you'll be seeing lots of must sees) - OH! The "Tree of LIfe" at Kalaloch Beach. Definitely gotta see that. Enjoy your journey!

How wonderful to see the four of you traveling through my hometown of Bellingham! and you had excellent weather also, that doesn't always happen in the Pacific Northwest. I was just visiting my old stomping grounds for mountain biking and chose to drive back home via Chuckanut Drive. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your stay in Washington state.
It's a bit cooler and hazy now from the fires but our first day here was indeed glorious! Am secretly hoping for at least one rainy day in the PNW as think it will be extra moody and mysterious then!

Got power and water hook ups, and an indoor bathroom. I watch a lot of Van Life shows, and as a TV producer, the couple with 2 Dogs format works the best!

We are heading to Whitehorse this week and doing a road trip with our kids up the Dempster to Tuk. Hoping and praying that the fires will have died down by the time we get there. What a crazy summer with these fires. Even Nova Scotia where we live had fires in the spring with the loss of over 200 homes that burned near Halifax. We have had rain ever since though. Safe travels in the US and will look forward to your next video.

Glad to see you guys back in the van. You are going to be glad you have fairly new brakes when you get to South America. The Andes are brutal 😭 So sad about the dog. Sadly, you will be seeing that a lot more down here. What's worse is that we've actually drive past 2 separate dead bodies lying in the road as a result of traffic accidents. It's definitely an eye opener in Latin America and makes you really take things for granted. It is however the most unbelievable place and we can't wait to watch you guys visit some of the places we passed through ❤️ At the rate we're currently going, I'm pretty sure you'll reach Ushuaia before us 😂
It's awful isn't it 😢 We saw it loads in Eastern Europe too and it was heart breaking. When you say dead bodies from a traffic accident, do you mean human bodies? 😳 Hahaha well, of course we hope you don't have any more setbacks but also it would be awesome to meet somewhere on the road! 🤪 xx
@@OverlandingSophia Yes, dead kids chilled in motorbike accidents. Think it will haunt us forever. The first was in Guatemala and the second in Costa Rica. You will also sadly drive past many dead dogs along the way. There are so many strays on the dead, it's just unavoidable 💔 We're pushing our plans back and are aiming for Ushuaia a little later than next March, so it is always possible. We are then heading back up and will be heading back through Chile and Argentina before checking out the rest of the South American countries. So you never know ☺️

Oh my word you two have had a time of it. So glad to know you had a fantastic time back home and that the dogs were so well cared for while you were having a well deserved break. Awesome that you finally got parked at Spanish Banks and got to enjoy it and enjoyed your time in Vancouver (well except the flu part). We were hoping you would head down the coast after crossing into Washington State. Spent many many years heading down Chuckanut Drive/Larrabee State Park on day drives and the Oregon Coast for holidays. Truly stunning scenery. Seaside,OR all the way to Brookings,OR is amazing so I hope you have time to enjoy it although I know you want to keep to a schedule. Lincoln City, Cannon Beach, Depoe Bay, Gold Beach and Brookings are the highlights but many places in between as well. Thank you so much for the stunning footage of places that are so familiar to us. 💞 Hope you manage to dodge any remnants from the hurricane that is coming up further south. Lots of reports of fake videos on twitter so use trusted news sources and emergency services pages to get updates. Sure hope that doggie will be okay. 💔 Oh also it looks like you dodged the wildfire smoke since it's come in the last couple of days but getting bad today. Air quality is 152 where I am but out in the valley it is at 343.

If i had seen this 10 months ago I would have suggested for y'all to visit Whytecliff Park(Whytecliff lookout point) in west Vancouver. Wait for the tide to go out and y'all could really enjoy the serenity and beauty of our great city. I guess y'all could do that again in the future. I don't know if dogs are allowed or if parking is free but it's worth a visit

Ah it's good to be back! The dogs went a little crazy when we came back but also I think they were genuinely sad to leave Mila! She looked after them so well. Hahah Ben said he lost his flip 😆 Not only was it strange (and nice!) to see that guy leave his keys in the ignition with the windows down, but in Vancouver there was a truck parked near us for 3 days with the windows down and it didn't get broken into at all! Well you all have had quite an ordeal since the end of June. I had a lot of delay trying to get back from England. My plane from Manchester to Amsterdam was late getting in and then very late getting out so I missed my connection to the states and had to stay the night in Amsterdam. Then, there was a part issue on my plane in the a.m. so then it was late leaving and I missed my connections in the states and had to rebook again. Finally got in at midnight and my wonderful cousin was there ready to take me back to the house. Loved part 2 of my journey going through Kansas and Nebraska where I stayed at a park that has the world's largest hand planted forest. And then, there was the Badlands in S. Dakota, what an awesome place. I hit the Calif. Sierras on the way in and now back in So Cal where Hilary is giving us some rain right now. So glad the storm down graded to a category 1. You're going to love coming down the Pacific Coast and now you have some good reliable brakes to keep your journey safe. Enjoy the ride! 🤗🥰
Oh that sounds like an absolute nightmare!! One of our flights back to the UK was a connecting flight and the wedding was the next day - couldn't afford to have it delayed and miss the connection. But of course, it was delayed! The pilot even asked everyone to stay seated while all the London connecting passengers got off first. We all sprinted to the gate and made it! But I guess it's busy summer holidays. You had two delays one after the other too! How was your trip though? Did you have fun? Glad you're only just getting some rain from Hilary, hopefully the sun will be back out by the time we make it down there 😃 🌞 xx
@@OverlandingSophia I loved attending The Open, despite the rain. I sprinkled some of mom's ashes on the 1st and 18th fairways, she so loved the game as well. Along with the rain from Hilary we had a 5.1 earthquake yesterday afternoon. I felt like the van was going down a bumpy road again, it really swayed.

Water and electric hook ups, my home is pet friendly. Just rap on the door, come in for AC, a shower or just a wander through to my very rustic deck overlooking the Northport Harbour. Home to about 80 lobster/fishing boats.
You be you and I'll be me. Maybe we can even share a meal and a drink.

Moved from the UK to the Fraser Valley in 1967, Vancouver was really nice in those days. 30 min drive into the city with zero traffic on a freeway that had just been built. Nowadays I find the traffic too horrendous to even think about going into the city. And, property prices now, don't even go there. To bad you didn't make it to the Island as Vancouver pales in comparison to Victoria in my opinion. Really enjoy your videos as you guys are just so natural.
We were so gutted we couldn't make it to the island. It was something we'd been looking forward to for weeks. But it just wasn't meant to be this time. Usually cities + van + dogs never mix well and we avoid them at all costs, but our little spots in Vancouver were beautiful and I think the change of pace for us was really nice. Being in hustle and bustle after months in the wilderness!

I do not see a full Canada not north America across trip, hitting every province trip. See other countries etc and watched as said all rest.
A full Canada trip is top of our bucket list. We have so much left here to see and this won't be the last time we're here. Vancouver Island isn't getting away from us that easily! And we shipped into Halifax but haven't actually driven the entire country. We dropped down into the States last autumn and looped back into Alberta in April! 😃 💛

Myself have trusted my beloved cat this summer for the first time ever to an amazing petsitter for 2 weeks, who sent me videos every day, and I know how much of a joy and relief it is to see and know our babies are well cared for while we have to part from them.

It's so sad you didn't make it to Vancouver Island. Torino is an amazing place and the trees on Mears island are HUGE. Some estimated to be 1500 yrs old! Hopefully you are planning to drive thru the Redwood Forest on Oregon and California. It truly is spectacular.
Yellowknife is being evacuated right no because of a forest fire right now so you were blessed to have seen her before the fires. Praying everyone and their animals make it safely out. Drive save and looking forward to the journey down to Argentina.
I know we are absolutely gutted. But we aren’t done with Canada yet and we’ll be back to see the island, maybe for longer than 2 weeks next time. Redwoods are on the list too! It’s horrific seeing what’s happening up in the Yukon, wildfires this year have been so bad 😢 xx

Bellingham, San Juan Islands, Whidbey Island, Anacortes, Deception Pass, Port Townsend - Once you get to Forks, Washington, there's a great beach west of there - Rialto Beach and also Mora Campground near there. I would call it a "must see" (but you'll be seeing lots of must sees) - OH! The "Tree of LIfe" at Kalaloch Beach. Definitely gotta see that. Enjoy your journey!

I was just visiting my old stomping grounds for mountain biking and chose to drive back home via Chuckanut Drive. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your stay in Washington state.
It's a bit cooler and hazy now from the fires but our first day here was indeed glorious! Am secretly hoping for at least one rainy day in the PNW as think it will be extra moody and mysterious then!

Got power and water hook ups, and an indoor bathroom. I watch a lot of Van Life shows, and as a TV producer, the couple with 2 Dogs format works the best!

We are heading to Whitehorse this week and doing a road trip with our kids up the Dempster to Tuk. Hoping and praying that the fires will have died down by the time we get there. What a crazy summer with these fires. Even Nova Scotia where we live had fires in the spring with the loss of over 200 homes that burned near Halifax. We have had rain ever since though. Safe travels in the US and will look forward to your next video.

So sad about the dog. Sadly, you will be seeing that a lot more down here. What's worse is that we've actually drive past 2 separate dead bodies lying in the road as a result of traffic accidents. It's definitely an eye opener in Latin America and makes you really take things for granted.
It is however the most unbelievable place and we can't wait to watch you guys visit some of the places we passed through ❤️
At the rate we're currently going, I'm pretty sure you'll reach Ushuaia before us 😂

@@OverlandingSophia Yes, dead kids chilled in motorbike accidents. Think it will haunt us forever. The first was in Guatemala and the second in Costa Rica.
You will also sadly drive past many dead dogs along the way. There are so many strays on the dead, it's just unavoidable 💔
We're pushing our plans back and are aiming for Ushuaia a little later than next March, so it is always possible. We are then heading back up and will be heading back through Chile and Argentina before checking out the rest of the South American countries.
So you never know ☺️

Oh my word you two have had a time of it. So glad to know you had a fantastic time back home and that the dogs were so well cared for while you were having a well deserved break. Awesome that you finally got parked at Spanish Banks and got to enjoy it and enjoyed your time in Vancouver (well except the flu part). We were hoping you would head down the coast after crossing into Washington State. Spent many many years heading down Chuckanut Drive/Larrabee State Park on day drives and the Oregon Coast for holidays. Truly stunning scenery. Seaside,OR all the way to Brookings,OR is amazing so I hope you have time to enjoy it although I know you want to keep to a schedule. Lincoln City, Cannon Beach, Depoe Bay, Gold Beach and Brookings are the highlights but many places in between as well. Thank you so much for the stunning footage of places that are so familiar to us. 💞 Hope you manage to dodge any remnants from the hurricane that is coming up further south. Lots of reports of fake videos on twitter so use trusted news sources and emergency services pages to get updates. Sure hope that doggie will be okay. 💔 Oh also it looks like you dodged the wildfire smoke since it's come in the last couple of days but getting bad today. Air quality is 152 where I am but out in the valley it is at 343.

If i had seen this 10 months ago I would have suggested for y'all to visit Whytecliff Park(Whytecliff lookout point) in west Vancouver. Wait for the tide to go out and y'all could really enjoy the serenity and beauty of our great city. I guess y'all could do that again in the future. I don't know if dogs are allowed or if parking is free but it's worth a visit

Hahah Ben said he lost his flip 😆 Not only was it strange (and nice!) to see that guy leave his keys in the ignition with the windows down, but in Vancouver there was a truck parked near us for 3 days with the windows down and it didn't get broken into at all! Well you all have had quite an ordeal since the end of June. I had a lot of delay trying to get back from England. My plane from Manchester to Amsterdam was late getting in and then very late getting out so I missed my connection to the states and had to stay the night in Amsterdam. Then, there was a part issue on my plane in the a.m. so then it was late leaving and I missed my connections in the states and had to rebook again. Finally got in at midnight and my wonderful cousin was there ready to take me back to the house. Loved part 2 of my journey going through Kansas and Nebraska where I stayed at a park that has the world's largest hand planted forest. And then, there was the Badlands in S. Dakota, what an awesome place. I hit the Calif. Sierras on the way in and now back in So Cal where Hilary is giving us some rain right now. So glad the storm down graded to a category 1. You're going to love coming down the Pacific Coast and now you have some good reliable brakes to keep your journey safe. Enjoy the ride! 🤗🥰
Oh that sounds like an absolute nightmare!! One of our flights back to the UK was a connecting flight and the wedding was the next day - couldn't afford to have it delayed and miss the connection. But of course, it was delayed! The pilot even asked everyone to stay seated while all the London connecting passengers got off first. We all sprinted to the gate and made it! But I guess it's busy summer holidays. You had two delays one after the other too! How was your trip though? Did you have fun? Glad you're only just getting some rain from Hilary, hopefully the sun will be back out by the time we make it down there 😃 🌞 xx
@@OverlandingSophia I loved attending The Open, despite the rain. I sprinkled some of mom's ashes on the 1st and 18th fairways, she so loved the game as well. Along with the rain from Hilary we had a 5.1 earthquake yesterday afternoon. I felt like the van was going down a bumpy road again, it really swayed.

We had to wander round Vancouver for 9 hours while they replaced it all, seeing as they had our only vehicle and our only home in the garage! 😂 Hope you're having a magical summer. Yay! So nice to see you back in Canada safely. Isn’t Vancouver a cool city with all the different ethnic restaurants on basically every corner. Too congested for me, but a great place to visit. It was so sad to hear about the poor dog. I hope he makes out ok. I almost lost my beloved dog a couple of weeks ago while walking her. Two pit bulls came charging after us from a yard. Luckily my dog didn’t get hurt and I was bit slightly. The owner came out in the nick of time. Thanks for a wonderful video.

Glad you're back! Love that you were able to spend a lot of time in Vancouver! What a great city. One of my favorite places of all my travels is the Olympic Peninsula and Olympia National Park. I'm glad you're heading that way. Take a quick stop in the Ho Rain Forest. Have fun!

So excited for you guys! HWY 101 down the west coast is amazing. We live here (Victoria, Vancouver Island) and we love the coast highway back and forth to California.
