MERAMEC RIVER IN MISSOURI - FLOAT 08 29 22 PART 1

Kayak trip on the Meramec River Part 1 - between Ozark Outdoors and lunch break at the Campbell Bridge public fishing access.
Ozark Outdoors outfitters are next to Onondaga Cave just outside of Leesburg Missouri.

My dad use to be caretaker at keyes canoe rental and campground before it was ozark outdoors. We lived at the entrance of the campground . As a kid we took all the floats we wanted . I love this ten mile stretch. Makes me miss home and brought back some wonderful memories. I appreciate this so much .

21 minute mark is my favorite stretch of the river.

I don't know how old you are or how familiar with this section of the river you may be ..but has the meramec gotten smaller over the last several years ?

I was wondering if around the 8 minute mark is that hinch rock /hinch bluff? If so its changed drastically since when i was a kid .

Nevermind i see hinch rock at the 16 minute mark. I dont remember the other place at the 8 minute mark i dont guess. I recall every year someone drowning or injured at hinch rock .
