1. To be honest I haven't used many rackets within $100 budget haha. But the racket itself shouldn't matter. What's more important is working on your form and footwork. 2. I use the Yonex Power Cushion Aerus 3. It's decent, I liked my shoes from before (the blue ones) but I don't think they make them anymore
Congrats on 5k! dw about not being the "best coach", your videos are great because we feel like we're improving along with you! Q: What's your favorite food?
Congratulations on 5k subs! Keep up the great work! Question 1: Do you have a particular diet? Question 2: What's in your racquet bag? Question 3: Do you have any quick warm up tips or warm down exercises?
Hey jeffrey!! Please upload some more badminton videos in 4k quality from "jeffrey's angle" from upcoming olympics if you can!! we subs can help with some money through donations so you can get some awesome badminton action for us!! As those were really awesome!! Also i have one question for you "who do you think will win men singles final in olympic 2020?" we can also have some voting by subs about what they think if you can arrange in the next video!! And congratulations 🎉 🎊 🎗️ on 5k subs!!
What racket do you use the most? do you have any recommendations for intermediate high school players? Thanks. Btw your videos are so cool because you observe all these small details in games of pro badminton players
Q1: What's your favorite boba shop and what do you order from there? Q2: How do I find a good badminton community to commit with/to? Q3: How do you balance badminton, videomaking, and school? Q4: How do you afford nice badminton equipment? (You don't have to get to all of the questions! You can pick one that interests you, have a great day)
1: I don't really have a favorite, but Black Sugar in SF is pretty good. I just get their black sugar milk drink :) 2: You just have to meet people and find people who are around the same level and also are nice and welcoming 3: I work now, so i don't go to school, but it all comes down to planning and balance. I use Google calendar to plan out each day to make sure I have time for everything that I want. 4: I work to make money to buy equipment haha!
I just the other day ordered a new racket, I recently started play again and i'm enjoying it a lot. I honestly don't remember subscribing :P but happy you reached 5k+ and look forward to some nice content ;) I have a question that I have not been able to get a satisfactory answer to. The grip..? (I know that is not really a question, but let me elaborate) Do you remove the grip the racket comes with? What type do you use and why? How thick should it be and what are the benefits, if any, of a thin grip? I can tell that I currently don't remove the grip that the racket comes with, and just apply a "super grip" on top. This is pretty comfortable, but I am wondering if having a too thick grip might make it harder to have the correct handling of the racket. I know a lot of it is possibly down to personal preference and that you have to try yourself to find out what you like. But I cannot for the life of me find a good video going over through all there is to know about the grip, even on seller sites there is very little info to be had.
@@BadmintonwithJeffrey I can think of another.. It would seem like you like watching badminton live (from the videos you uploaded).. What is it you enjoy about it, are you going to any other tournaments this year or the next? How much does the string matter in your opinion? (I tend to be a bit of a gearfreak, though I still admit, that where I can improve the most is by activly playing on the court :) )
Hmmm, not sure haha. Improvement is so gradual, so I'm not sure if there's any one piece of advice that immediately took my game to the next level. Maybe, hitting to the same corner can be effective at times.
How do you not get discouraged when you play against someone who is a lot better than you/has more training/coaching? Thanks for doing the giveaway i've always wanted a yonex jersey!
Q1: Did you watch Lin Dan vs Kento Momoto China Open 2019? ruclips.net/video/iGDcBeztMHY/видео.html Q2: When playing against a primarily doubles player, what are some common openings/tactics against that person? Q3: What kind of upper hand (if any) do you think a doubles player has against a singles player on a singles match?
I do! Once in a while, I'd play tetris or some other games on my switch. Breath of the wild was good, I used to play a lot of smash bros melee, mario kart, and other nintendo games. I also played a lot of FFXV, which I really liked :) I also downloaded a bunch of PS4 games that I haven't even touched yet :/
Q1 : Do you play at a Bintang badminton center in California, because i recognize the mats and the paint of the walls, if you do which one do you go to. Q2(Not really a question but rather a request) : It would be amazing if you come to the Campbell Bintang ( 600 E Hamilton Ave, Campbell, CA 95008 ) and also my high school's Open Gym(5210 Leigh Ave, San Jose, CA 95124) , so we can learn from you. The Open Gyms are on Saturday 6:30pm-9:30pm and my friends and I practice/ play at Bintang on fridays from 6pm - 11pm.
You should check out Kenichi Tago's new youtube channel. He has some really really good content and some tips that I have not heard from any other coach before.
@@BadmintonwithJeffrey Hah! He did... His footwork video has good points, as well as his netshot video. Usually coaching videos on youtube all cover the same things but Tago brings up new points about line of sight, how to land when stepping etc. Looking forward to more of your own analysis videos too.
Wow, great questions so far! Keep them coming, I might just answer all of them haha!
