as a dealer of this equipment. Not a bad video. except a 2 5/8" hole saw is more practical in doing your hole cut. I'll post a detailed video on how the pro's do it soon.
I straightened out a metal clothes hanger, slightly rolled the end with electric tape, and fed the hanger under the tank. There was plenty of room and used the hanger to feed my amp wires to the battery. This eliminated the tank removal. I also find success with large weed eater line when running wire. Peace!

No need to remove the gas tank unless you're installing lower fairing speakers or you just really want to install the wiring there. On the FLT models you can use a flexible fish tape in the hole on the right side of the neck and pull all of the wiring through a channel in the frame. For the FLH models you can use a rigid fiberglass fish and use the hole on the left side of the frame to achieve the same result. If you're running the rear speaker wires you'll need to de-pin the connector so the wiring will pass thru the channel easier. For both you can use some electrical tape to secure the wiring to the fish and I like to spray a little Windex on the tape to help is slide through the channel easier. On FLT models you can use a 2.75 hole saw and you can pop that hole in less than 30 seconds. The template isn't needed as you can use the edge of the screw hole and the upper mold line as boundaries for the outer edge of the saw. Once you pop the pilot hole run the drill in reverse so you don't have to fight the saw trying to dig into the plastic. As for the ballistic dampener, you can apply that in one solid piece over the turn signal wiring in the outer fairing; for the FLH models you just stick it to the rear of the speaker pod. You can use some adhesion promoter to help it stick which is also advised for the FLT amp installation when applying the hook and loop material on the shelf above the radio.
Oh my goodness you murdered that speaker pod. I am not sure what I just watched. Anyone needs custom audio hit me up and I promise I wont butcher your pods lol.
J.M Rokker make a bad ass system too had it installed last year in sturgis pretty nice discount and insulation was free probably doing a different head unit soon On my 16’ street glide special
Are the bag speakers marine/all weather? I'm assuming the fairing speakers are. I have the Advanblack bags but didnt buy the lids bc I was having trouble finding marine speakers that fit. I do ride in the rain.
D G yes the speakers are all weather. The lids are not waterproof. I have not rode in a heavy rain yet. Just a few showers on the way home and it seemed like all he water was in the lids/speakers so as soon as I opened the lids the water dumped out.
My 2019 CVO Street Glide came with 6 speakers those small things 4 tweeters, 3 amplifier 950 watts . 75 watts per channel no distortion full load, It hurts the hearing with ear plugs up close. I don't use it I wonder why it is there I would have preferred radiators and fans in the lowers like my 2017 CVO Street Glide. Regards
Daymaker yea mine was not a CVO I needed a little boost. My Boom Audio 1 sounded really good. Way better then stock and I think this is better then Boom. Since I was adding speakers to the lid rather then add or change amps and add rear speakers it was easier to just do this.
When did you purchase this kit? I bought mine a cpl weeks ago. Mine didn't come with the template or the sound deadening material. I was told that's not in the kits anymore. I know your video shows 2 weeks old so.
Steven you really do not need the template. You can use a 2.75 in hole saw and use the edge of the screw hole and the upper mold line for an outer perimeter. One you pop the pilot hole thru reverse the drill and run it that way so it's not trying to dig into the plastic. It will cut through the plastic just fine.
@@qf76mnd15 Do you have the Sony 7000?Z the reviews are not all that great and I am deeply concerned with waterproof. I ride in all sorts of weather. I am hoping to find someone who actually has one installed.
@@angeloiezzi7054 Yes I have it, the 7000 has sealed switches for water, apple car play, 3 year warranty. The boot up delay time is cut in half also. Very nice headunit!

Sound deaden the inside of your pods, a little time consuming cutting little pieces, but it works.

doesn't seem that complicated pulling the tank. only a few bolts.
helluva job explaining everything. great video

LOL yea I went back and cleaned them up a bit.
@@bigkirbmotors7233 I had to my man, I couldn't resist lol.
They're all loud, sitting still!
Yea mine is still loud at 80. And clear.
Hole saw would have been so much nicer of a hole, But nice job sounds great.. Beautiful background view !
On the air deflector you only need to take off the lower screws.
The sound deadener should have gone over the blinker wire to secure it from rattling on the fairing.
No need to use a pick tool to remove grills in fairing. Just reach your hand down inside fairing and push them out
The 6.5s with the neo magnets sound just as good and no cutting of pods.
S Meek unfamiliar does Sounds make new magnets?
Not sure about Soundz but Arcs new HD 6.5 does and they're loud and clear.
@25:19 what you came for Not that long intro 😏😌

Smooth 450 nice!
Smooth 450 I’d like the new head unit with car play.
yes thats what I run with 6 herzt speakers
J M is decent just older technology and Soundz is the patented harness MFG. for them. Soundz is just a step above the rest..
27:27 Dude, fuck the system, look at that view! Thats awesome brother
the Iron 65s sounded ok, but the new carbon models sound "tinny" and lack serious bass.
Damn homie, tore that backing all to hell. 😵 Thx for the vid tho 😎🤙🏾
So you didn't like the boom audio? What is the difference from what you installed, link to purchase the entire system? Come with any subs?
Night and day comparison.
Great video! What windshield is that?
I believe that was the freedom shields in this video. I have a video on them. They’re great.

I don’t hVe any. But AdvanBlack has them.
Where is this shop ..located
Soundz? Florida I believe soundzbaggeraudio.com

Bet ur neighbors are none to happy. Road test at 80 with Traffic is the real test !
Still loud at 80
true measure of a bike audtio system is the highs and lows. I didn't hear any base in the system
That’s because the stock head unit filters it. I’m planning on getting a different one.
Where are y'all located
I’m live in Utah.
What songs is that
does it void your warranty
I honestly don’t know, if I had to guess yes?... maybe if you had Harley flash it then it wouldn’t void it.
No it does not. I’m a soundz dealer and no warranty issues when using out equipment
Damn that’s loud
Show the install
bad ass bike and system, music sucks, would love to hear it with some good clean rock
Thank you. Unfortunately RUclips would remove decent music.
Get rid of the stock head unit.
