Awesomely informative, concise, and explicit presentation on the topic! It solidified my interpretation of the task goal and exponentially strengthened my strategized approach to constructing this proclamation!
The program I am applying for asks why you chose law and what field you want to pursue. Is it too personal to write about a sexual abuse situation/ I can write about how I overcame it and became a stronger person. Then also how seeing social workers etc has made me interested in this field to help others who went through abuse. Then state that I wanted to take a more broad approach in ensuring that the abusers do not harm others and that the victims do not have to fear of their abuser like did. Or is too personal? I won't go into details of the abuse.
Hi, I found this article about personal statements people have written who have gotten into top schools and one talked about sexual assault. Thought this might be helpful for you :) 7sage.com/law-school-ps-examples/
ugh wish i could afford yall i'm conflicted about telling the truth at the risk of it not landing for some people or watering it down/compromising how i want to explain things to play it safe. aghhhHHH
If someone writes a PS letter about what they learned from getting kicked out of Undergrad for a year due to their academics. And the tools and skills they learned from going through that situation and how those same tools and skills can be utilized in law school for being a successful student. Would this be a good idea to write about for a PS?
That sounds like a cool personal statement to me! Sprinkle in how that inspired you to go to law school and it sounds interesting and different. Make sure to highlight how failing motivated you to work even harder. Turn that “failure” into a success story. I didn’t fail I grew and If I could go back and re do it all I wouldn’t dare change a thing because of the life lessons I learned from it. Good luck
thank you for this...here's to getting into berkeley law.
Well…?
