  • Just A Quick Intro and A Great Road as we headed south from The Netherlands into Germany
    To help show you what fantastic roads we found
    We left The Netherlands in torrential rain after a day of sunshine and this is the last short ten minute run in the the place we had booked. a small village called Gangloff near Meisenheim which i believe is just into Saarland, just over the border from the Vosges in France.

    I loved driving on the roads in Germany! Unfortunately I never got to ride on them. I doubt I will get back there, I smoke and airlines aren't conducive to those of us that still do. Oh well.

      @@barebonesmc I remember in the early 1980’s in North Lincolnshire the roads where great. Now when on my bike I am nervous on what I am going to find on occasions.

      Yep. This was at the end of a long day n just clicked go. But despite wind socks and multiple different cameras and external mics it is a problem I have never solved. Any tips?

      @@barebonesmc I just mute the sound and add mellow music where the video has wind noise but a lot of people are able to muffle the sound with a remote mike with a cat hair type cover. There must be videos on YT specifically about reducing or eliminating wind noise.

    Is this one of your personal bikes.... she looks to be a strong/capable choice & I was going to ask about the ability to do speed limits
    comfortably but you're in Germany & IDKnow about the speeds there except on some roads you can blow it out at any speed? So I'm
    guessing she'll do 70 mph - 80 mph w/ no problems? I'm also guessing that she's heavy enough to keep the wind from pushing you
    too much? The price of this bike isn't too bad either, I was thinking it would be more. Be safe on the return trip, peace.

      The little 650 coped fine with the open limit on the autobahn even loaded up FULLY lol.

    • @barebonesmc
      @barebonesmc  2 месяца назад

      to be clear, she will still do well over 100mph 2 up fully loaded, and limit on the limited speed sections of the Autobahn are 130kph and she sits around 5,500 to 6,000 rpm most of the time. but 2 up i rarely push my limits, passenger safety is my priority 🙂

      @user-dv7hb2sc9m 2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, that made it abundantly clear.... lol, even if I owned a bike capable of more than 100mph, I'd not be using it to
      go insane speeds b/c most the reason I'd ride is to see stuff, not to see a "blur" & go splat down the line. TY Sir

    I clicked on your video because of the thumbnail.
    Knew it was Germany,wasn't sure exactly where.
    Covered literally hundreds of thousands of miles in Europe over the last forty odd years.
    When I'm in another country I try to learn some of their traffic laws,obey them and stick strictly to their speed limits.
    You're a guest there,act like one.

    • @barebonesmc
      @barebonesmc  3 месяца назад +1

      I do in general and here I was 2 up fully loaded so was taking my time. What makes you think I was breaking any limits?

    • @k1ckyscotland988
      @k1ckyscotland988 3 месяца назад +1

      Through the towns and villages looked excessive.
      Not sure how well you know Germany.
      A town sign means 50kph before you pass it,the town sign with a red diagonal means end of town limits.
      Might just have been a perception of higher speeds from the video.
      If so,I apologise unreservedly.

    • @barebonesmc
      @barebonesmc  3 месяца назад +1

      @@k1ckyscotland988 being honest, it does look faster than it is, and i was caught out a bit at one point slowing into a village but the warning gave me time to slow, i will keep an eye open for the red diagonals, but the villages here were 30kph, so i was down to that at certain points, which should show you how the video looks faster, take care anyway mate, and no apology needed, i say it as i see it just like you, so happily accept the same
