Watching from AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺, because of you I can cook Asian cuisine , thank you for your simple easy to follow delicious recipes. Learning a lot to know how to cook. Thank you 🙏
Just made this dish last night with my Philip pressure cooker. The skin and meat were tender. Herbs taste just right for my family. Buy realised that the meat at the pig leg is too little, as my 3 teenage kids don't really go for the skins and wanted the "lean" meat only. Which other parts of the pig should I use to cook to get more "lean" meat. (No Pork Belly too). Thanks.
Wwooo Ah Pa, I cook this in the Autumn, Winter time etc, couple English friends look forward to when I cook this Another of my fond memories of Singapore and of my grandma....
In the video there’s only half a pork hind leg. Depends on ur pork, meat will gets tender after 45mins, u can cook for longer time to get the tenderness u prefer.
@@CookingAhPa maybe living conditions and from the feed they are given? Not too sure myself... Or maybe different breed? Haha. Nvm lah. I also cannot tahan too gamey pork.

Front leg is more lean, hind leg is fattier, but usually front leg is about 2kg whereas hind leg is 3kg at least, I usually cook half each time.
@@CookingAhPa Just saw another of your Video on Yuan Ti (3rd part of the leg of pork), more meat. Thanks and keep up the good work.
That’s the top part of the whole pork leg

Sad, everyone will be a victim of bad campaign to the children!
🎉😬😋👏👍
Think if the pigs are castrated then the meat will be less gamey!! 😁 Not sure about female pigs though! Lol! 🤔
