    Number 7: calcium carbonate accretion through electrolysis has an incredible ability to pull tones of carbon out of the sea. Furthermore, it could be used to repair existing or to create new reefs. This would create habitats for new marine eco systems to develop, thus removing even more carbon dioxide from the water.
    More marine habitats has an added bonus of creating more marine life, thereby helping to feed an ever growing population.

    We are experiencing low levels of CO2 in our Earth than almost ever before. Plants thrive under these conditions. They also yield more fruit per square inch under higher CO2 levels. Plants naturally create oxygen and animals and plants live in harmony together. By the way, liquid CO2 is a refrigerant.

    All forests don’t pull CO2 out of the air: old growth can, in fact, be a net CO2 emitter when fungal wood decay returns CO2 back into the air. Regenerating forests do absorb a lot of CO2-but only until they reach their capacity. Managing forests for most efficient CO2 absorption is better than letting forests live to their oldest, pre-decadent state. But once they get old, forests are not as good at storing CO2 as you suggest: old-growth is either not growing very fast (not absorbing CO2) or has become decadent (decay is releasing more CO2 than the stand is absorbing since it’s not really growing much, if at all).

    • @EverythingScience
      @EverythingScience  3 года назад

      On the whole those old forests would still have absorbed more CO2 over their life time correct? But definitely true we need proper forest management in conjunction with more trees!

      First of all there are no sources because it was all made up by some politicians back in the '80s and some secret meetings with Congress when they come up with the word global warming that's not real there's no climate change there's nothing wrong with the air until now they're pulling carbon dioxide out of it that's going to kill all the plants that will kill all of us.. and nobody's going to step up to the plate and do anything because the people are so stupid they have no idea of why we're going to die under the certain conditions of plans they have today it will certainly kill everyone of us in a short time and those who have half a brain will say no that's not true cuz the elite would die true with at least not going to die they got fallout shelters 2,000 feet down the biggest military bases that's ever been all tied together with tunnel systems and we're not allowed to be in there we're going to sit up here and suffocate and Dodge hailstones and meteorites when Nemesis comes back around the Sun so it's already too late everything is happening now is irreversible we've already lost two more percent of oxygen in our air we're down to critical now and we've dropped the CO2 levels again to they're almost the bare minimum for plants to live now so I figure about 2 years at the rate we're going now and get everybody to help destroy us that's what everybody's doing right now they're they're leading right up to our own murders and that's I call it murder cuz these people are doing this s*** they know what's going to happen they they took sixth grade science class same as I did that's when we learned how plants make photosynthesis but that's not talking skills today I'm finding out that students aren't taught anything but had a contradict you and b**** at you for not crossing your keys and your eyes cuz they don't know if goddamn thing about science math or history Nice people very easy to make too manipulate...
      Of all the emissions and all that inner gas and rare gases in our atmosphere along with all the carbon dioxide in the entire Earth atmosphere consists of 0.98% is all the emissions from burning fossil fuels since the beginning of time and all those super tons and 800 tons and millions of tons of carbon dioxide this m************ c********* in this video said there is as he is a lying son of a b**** cuz every time it rains horses all that back down in the dirt because they told amount entire universe around us everything that we know of the only carbon dioxide that we have is 0.030 of 1%. That's from everything that's all there is and if you cut this number in half all vegetation on planet Earth will water and die as a matter of fact all the Sea algae in the North Atlantic Ocean is dead already from lack of carbon dioxide and it was said that sea allege produce 75% of the oxygen when he breathe and it's showing up in the percentages of air samples as now we have went from 21.9% oxygen in our air down to 20% in the last 4 years if we drop one more half a percent which will be 19.5 the human race will begin to wither and die same as the plants are now that we're going to help everything by taking all the carbs up because it'll help us want it it sure will it helps us right into the God damn grave where the elite wants to be not only have the sheeples turned into battling zombies who are just taking up space for nothing worthless now they have become an instrument of our death and murders

      Not a problem neon much and Bill Gates and other billionaires are removing all the carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere as we speak and the results are blatantly showing all over the world as all plants are beginning to die resulting in oxygen levels dropping to critical today and soon you and every person man woman child on planet Earth will suffocate that means you'll be dead you know like in a pine box during the during the Great dirt nap forever... So thank you for your support and volunteering to end your life as all others are doing that is a great joy to people like Bill Gates who has been looking for population control as this is the best way possible as you're doing it yourself for them so they don't even have to be responsible

      Today im seeing co2 levels reported at 0.03% carbon dioxide ..at this low level plants suffer and starve to death ..trees and plants are dieing ...the oxygen level is dropping fast to now 20% as dieing and dead plants do not produce oxygen as well as live plants ..if our oxygen level drop to 19.5% ..people will begin dropping dead ..we are loosing oxygen at a rate of 1% in six months ..at this rate we have about 90 left to live . Then we are dead from suffocation ..due to the co2 removal that will kill every living organism on earth to a complete extinction of all life on earth ..

    CO2 isn't making the oceans more acidic, it's making the ocean less ionic or less basic or less alkaline, but in order to become more acidic it would have to be acidic in the first place, which the oceans are not! When the pH level drops to 6.9, by all means call the oceans acidic, and when it drops to 6.8, by all means say the oceans are becoming more acidic. Average ocean pH level is 8.2 - not acidic at all.

      Becoming less basic is by definition becoming more acidic. It doesn't need to be acidic to become more acidic because it's a sliding log scale. Even at a pH of 11 there is still some acidic characteristic (ie there are hydronium ions)

    • @robertwitkowski6920
      @robertwitkowski6920 2 года назад

      @@EverythingScience absolutely not. The pH scale is 0 - 14, 7 being neutral: below 7 is acidic. Above 7 is alkaline. Read a book before you comment on things you don't understand. Without Terminology and definition, language loses meaning. Just to clarify, how is it exactly that water with a pH level over 7 can be acidic and alkaline, when it hasn't gone through the neutral stage to even start to become acidic? Alkaline and acidic are opposites, even though that have similar effects, not traits.

    ‘’1.5 Million Tons per year’’ apart from the fact that mass monoculture Trees would be needed that are replacing & destroying Ecosystems, and at the moment many old growth forests are being burned in these Biomass power stations. The CO2 captured is only a fraction of the CO2 emissions released in transportation, pellet making, loss of Wild Forest Land etc. The ‘’1.5 Million Tons’’ is minuscule compared to what is needed and what could be sequestered just by using Algae to clean out waste water, which would permanently sequester approx 364 Million Tons p/a, with no need for the deep drilling to pressure CO2 into rock, which is more energy needed for that. The Biomass & Bio Oil from Algae is valuable as it can be made into numerous Carbon Neg/Eco Friendly products including Clean Burning Carbon Neg Bio Fuel, 1 Ton of Atmospheric CO2 permanently sequestered from every Barrel of Algae Oil.

    The industry puts out CO2? We just got a CO2 level monitor in our small (rambler) house and were stunned how much humans output, just with two of us we have to open windows twice a day to keep the indoor air just at 'moderate' level. Worry about outside air when indoor air is 3-5 times worse? Global CO2 levels from the 1500s to today increased from around 280 to 410. In our house at the end of the day we measured over 1500 (!), this is when staying indoor all day and we know it's just us because when we are not home the levels actually go down - and we even have ceiling fans running all day all night circulating the air. Then we did some research and found that unventilated student dorm rooms averaged over 2000. More than 20% of school classrooms checked in Texas exceeded 3000 at the end of class! Check your CO2 levels indoor FIRST and make sure that is healthy.

    can we not do something on the lines of fractional distillation on liquid air to separate carbon dioxide

    • @EverythingScience
      @EverythingScience  3 года назад

      That sounds like it would just be too energy intensive (especially compared to existing technologies). Between cooling air to get it into a liquid state then heating it back up to distill. Also, I don't think fractional distillation would work on something that is a gas at room temperature. Since in distillation you heat a liquid mixture and one part separates out into a gas then naturally condenses back down. The only way to have that maybe work is after the CO2 evaporates to then re-cool it to collect it, but then that's even more energy intensive, and what do you do with the frozen CO2. Keep it frozen forever? But I like the idea!

This could be a good way to tackle the political messaging, since given how politicised climate action has become, many will refuse to move on from coal just because it's coal, even if renewable sources turn out to be more efficient and cheap as well as renewable.

      Not 100% sure I understand what you're asking, but the ocean is good at absorbing CO2. So when we emit a lot of it into the atmosphere the ocean absorbs some of that. That changes the pH of the ocean water (makes ot more acidic). Many species are very sensitive to changes in pH so this change in pH can kill fish and wildlife in the oceans. A very common exampe is how it's destroying coral reefs. (Also, as carbon dioxide is released the world warms and so do the oceans. Some marine species can't survive this warming and so they die.)

      Water has more specific heat capacity. Which means, if Carbon dioxide in atmosphere is retaining heat, the carbon dioxide in seawater will also absorb the same level of heating in ocean, while the seawater in which its dissolved in will hold even more heat from the carbondioxide than atmosphere could. Which translates into a physical effect of increasing sea surface temperature raising much faster. CO2 in atmosphere absorbs heat and warms the atmosphere, while CO2 in seawater absorbs the heat and warms the ocean water (which needs more heat for raise in temperature). Apart from that, more CO2 dissolved in water means it will become more acidic and the increasing seawater temperature will lower the level in ocean below which the conditions are alkaline where carbonates precipitate and carbonate shells stay sequestered. That deeper layer is an important player in natural carbon sequestration. The CO2 dissolved in rain water runoff flowing through soil and organic matter, reach ocean and eventually settles into depths where the seawater become highly alkaline and makes the CO2 precipitate with Calcium- Magnesium ions which also came from dissolved soils in rainwater. That is why we have carbonate concretions in deeper ocean floor.

    Don’t plants breath carbon dioxide? Didn’t the Pleistocene period have ten times the amount of CO2 in the air then we do now? This was the most plant abundant period in earths history so then why do we not want more CO2 in the air? Wouldn’t this help to green the planet?

  • @romank.6813

    Direct air capture is an amazing technology! 94 bucks per ton of CO2, you say? Ok, the total CO2 emission by humankind is >30 billion tons per year. We want to compensate for it, right? Multiplication of the two numbers gives us... Ouch! Almost 3 trillion (yes, that number with twelve zeros!) bucks at the lowest production price! On top of that, how many giga-watt-hours or tera-watt-hours of electricity are needed for this? BTW, to store the fuel produced out of 30 billion tons of CO2 one needs about 20-30 cubic kilometers of underground space. Yes, cubic kilometers, those, you know, cubes one kilometer long, one kilometer wide, and one kilometer high. And those one would need 20 to 30 just to compensate for the global CO2 production at the current level.

    Can we live without carbon dioxide?
    Carbon dioxide or CO2 is an essential part of the cycle of life. Without CO2, plants will die off, and without plants, the earth's biological food chain would be terminally broken. This is an important fact to remember, as carbon dioxide is a vital part of the environment. The human breathing mechanism actual revolves around CO2, not oxygen. Without carbon dioxide, humans wouldn't be able to breathe. We cannot live without carbon dioxide.

      Even if it's not your intention, you're spreading climate change denial rhetoric. Every climate scientist understands that co2 is beneficial, in correct proportions. What your argument leaves out is that too much is bad for the environment and negatively effects even some of the things you mentioned. Another issue with your argument is assuming that all co2 would be removed. It is incredibly hard to remove co2, which is the point of the video. You can't accidentally remove too much co2

    Or, you know, you can remove government monopoly on money, land and roads, make roads and cities more efficient, make much more subways and trains (that are far more efficient and can run on electricity), separate roads for cars, and new sets of roads exclusively for bikes, velomobiles (extremely energy efficient (human and/or electric), cheap to produce, far more convenient in cities due to taking less parking space, being light enough to park in stack garages)...

    • @MavHunter20XX
      @MavHunter20XX 3 года назад

      There is a lot that goes into what you're suggesting. Just because something runs on electricity, doesn't mean its cleaner. Sure around places that have hydro electric power plants, electric cars makes sense, but where you "burn" for electricity, it is actually worse.
      As to mass transit, the reason why this may not work is because as of recently, the world has became more dangerous. Especially in big cities, there has been more crime and corruption. I used to take mass transit all the time, but I refuse to do it if it means I may not come home because I appear to have money or white.
      The "energy" question is far more complex and leaving to politicians is only going to make the problem worse.

    • @mkzhero

      @@MavHunter20XX "Electric cars make sense"..? Where on earth have i talked about electric cars? All i've talked about is trains (that are STILL by far more cleaner than cars, even electric cars as its by far the lowest energy consumption mode of travel and cargo transportation, aside velomobiles), and velomobiles, which are NOT electric cars and use 10-20 TIMES less electricity, even less if they use the engine as assist to pedaling, they're almost as fast as a car too.
      I'll give you the crime argument, but the world has not 'become' more dangerous, in fact in most places crime has been dropping for a while, but politicians (which i brought up) MADE IT more dangerous with their woke bullshit as of late, especially with mass import or third worlders. And idk why are you suggesting politicians would stay out of it if that's EXACTLY WHAT I SAID. But yeah, the so called pollution crisis is just a load of bull because YES, it CAN be solved in the way i mentioned, the problem is no one will let it, politicians which ruin everything (including your crime problem) won't give up their power for anything, and the idiotic brainwashed population that gave them said power will just keep giving them more and caving under, all while thinking it will give them more free shit somehow and solve their ever increasing problems until the inevitable collapse.

By tampering with the co2 amount (other then just planting trees) you can mess everything up.
