I started reading comments under this video and I came up with an interesting variant - Nuke Chess (do NOT confuse with Atomic Chess). In Nuke Chess everything goes as normal, with one exception. The king can once (only once) in entire game launch a nuke. A nuke can go in any direction a queen can go, but it crashes on the first piece it meets and you cannot choose a different spot for it, just the pieces and board edges that could be reached by the king if it was a queen. When a nuke hits a piece, it explodes like in atomic chess - the piece or pawn that is hit is removed from the board and the pieces (not pawns) surrounding it are removed, too. To win you need to deliver a checkmate or explode your enemy's king. You can hit your own pieces but you cannot put your own king in danger due to an explosion.
This rule changes the strategy a bit, as you have to care a bit more about king's safety and you have to be careful about your best pieces. For example if you set up a battery of two rooks or a rook and a queen and use it to check the king, it can be nuked and all your most valuable pieces are gone. This also makes pawns more valuable. However the gameplay changes aren't as crazy as in Atomic Chess, as each player has only one nuke.

@@ChessNuke 1. f4 isnt a bad opening if you know what you are doing you just have to be careful its like playing kings gambit (and you can transpose into kings gambit if you play 1. f4 e5 2. e4

To calculate the real rating of a chess bot, subtract 400 from the rating it displays.
So Hikaru is 2400 😂

i have an idea, play against martin but you only have a king. you play as white and your goal is to get to the other side of the board and also try to avoid checkmate

Well that’s a terrible move for a few reasons, the first one is that he doesn’t have to take on f4, but even if he does take, there is bishop e6 to block my check and there’s no mate and I just lost another knight
If he does not take it,you at least won a tempo,cause you attacked the rook too,so so he needs to move it
And i thouht he bishop would be free on e6,i didn't see the rook,which defends e6
