hey guys, recently there has been a change by microsoft where fbx files are non viewable by default on feb 2024. check out this video to fix it : ruclips.net/video/ZJ8KV4UsLvU/видео.html or this microsoft documentation : prod.support.services.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/support-for-fbx-files-has-been-turned-off-in-3d-viewer-b7483e83-422c-4d65-b94d-853eb65cb134 also for those who are facing an issue with importing the model to mixamo or somewhere else i am gonna make a seperate tutorial on that later. but as for mixamo i belive u can use the rigify plugin that comes by default in blender to rig your character in blender itself

I believe that the factor that made it work were your tips about the Blender version and the old addons that you put to download, the newer versions didn't work once. Finally, after many hours of suffering on blender, your video helped me figure it out so easily and fast so tysmmm! I do have one slight problem though, when I convert my VRM file to FBX and view it outside of blender, the textures don't show. I did the "select auto" and the little button next to it but still it wouldn't show up :< If you can help, I'd appreciate it!

make sure when exporting to fbx the Mode is set to "Copy" and not "Auto" and Batch mode is off also in which platform are you importing the model? if suppose u are importing in Unity or Unreal u may have to link the textures to the model after importing
@@justanoobartist4665 I can’t solve this problem for several days, I spent hours on the forums and watched all the videos on RUclips on this topic, it feels like there is simply no solution to this problem... There is no way to open the textures in a separate folder, neither in Mixamo nor in Unreal can't transfer them
Hey i really need help with with exporting the model whatever I try i just fail. When I export vroid character I'm not able to export the texture of model :( and yes I'm keeping path mode copy ( and it happens with other glm or obj file formats too ) PLEASE HELP
thanks for the tutorial, I downloaded the cats and then installed in blender in prefrences but then when i click on the addon to enable it it gives me errors,
i dont know why but the cats addon doesnt work i did fix the traceback error but when i click on the wrench it shows some error i dont know how to fix it
@@justanoobartist4665 it's fixed now I was using it in 4.0 version but then I downloaded 2.9 and it works fine and one more thing when I export my model i can't upload it on mixamo it shows error in the model so what should I do or is there any way I can make a rig of this model

also sometimes mixamo doesnt handle a model which has been already rigged from blender well. since with CATS plugin, the rig has been implemented on the character. however it should still be possible to import to mixamo after exporting with CATS plugin as fbx
@@justanoobartist4665 my lapi doesn't have 3d viewer I just use blender to see it and yeah if you know the accurig software the models works fine with that but i dont know how to animate through it

@@justanoobartist4665 Yeah, I've seen your latest video but anywhere I port my FBX model, it just doesn't come along w/ the textures :
