Not only was I enjoying the beautiful views of tropical paradise but also appreciating Jenny's DDG hunk, Nels. Thanks Di for the gorgeous colorizations. It would be hard to improve on this version of Begin the Beguine. So much emotion and dynamic, especially in the last chorus. However, I've always preferred Mario Lanza's rendition - the passion and vocal power are almost overwhelming.

As far as I can gather, Nelson never made a commercial recording of this song. He did sing it on two of his radio shows in the 1940s. BAZ|
