I've received ALLOT of requests to cover a Belle song. Obviously I had to do this one, because out of all of her songs, it's the one that speaks to me the most. While I was working on the song I realized that doing it this way, it changed the whole plot, and I realized he couldn't possibly be singing about a strange girl he fell in love with. This was a coming out song, he was coming out to his father Maurice. So in my version it's about this intimate moment bettween a father who thought had lost his son, and a son who's finally feeling comfortable in his own skin and life, after he fell in love with a hideous beast.
