Asami and Miyako are a pure jazz club combo at the start of this epic masterpiece. Then Lovebites shifts gears and transitions as only they can especially LIVE. The insane talent here is able to blend and merge several styles from Miyako's Gary Moore solo to the driving beat from Haruna and the rest as they complete this offering. Miyako has been called an Ice Queen on stage as she is so stoic.....LMAO as there was more emotion in that solo than someone jumping around on stage. No one blends influences and transitions between them flawlessly as this band.
As an old Aussie myself who’s teenage years were the in the seventies this song is very much of that era, it has influences from many of the bands at that time. The thing I like about Lovebites is the variety in their music and the cool riffs, my favourite songs are Burden of time, scream for me and Dancing with the devil, 3 completely different songs that show their versatility. A frozen serenade is not too shabby either.
"Edge of the World" is an epic masterpiece and it's melodic storytelling at its finest. You're spot on about part of Miyako's solo being bluesy, especially Chicago blues. This clip is from their recently released LIVE album "Memorial for the Warrior Souls". This LIVE album is based on the Tokyo leg of their "Judgement Day" Japanese tour held last year (2023). Nuno Bettencourt attended this very concert to watch the band perform and he was so impressed and enjoyed the show so much that he delayed his departure for 20 minutes due to a prior engagement (it was a pretty long show of nearly 2 hours) and he stayed till the conclusion to ensure he could go backstage to shower the ladies with praises before he left.
Great reaction to a great song of a great band. There are a lot of songs from their earlier albums you can check out. Frozen serenade (masterpiece), epilogue, empty daydream, break the wall (thrash metal), Spellbound (Miyako plays the keytar). All the above live of course.
LOVEBITES - Edge Of The World lyrics: Why do we learn to hate, deceive and lie, hurt each other? Why does it never end? The sorrow keeps on repeating Wailing, come downpours of the rain Will it end? No one ever knows Wondering, what only time can tell What is at the end of life? Why do we only see our own desires? This song is an epic masterpiece, it builds up so nicely, it showcases the band’s incredible musicianship and also has an uplifting and powerful message. Gary Moore is one of the main influences of Miyako. Somebody else said that music speaks for itself, and I agree; according to the context of the lyrics, this is not a song for jumping around.
Another Lovebites masterpiece. This song goes quite a way back in Lovebites discography, on their first LP. There was a live version of this song for 2020. Since one of Miyako's guitar inspirations is Gary Moore it has stylings of Gary. (Gary Moore The Loner live worth checking out). Check out next: Lovebites - A Frozen Serenade live.
One of my many favorites from Lovebites and everyone's part is performed so well! Thank you for the highlight on Haruna - I can't always identify all the little nuances of what she does, I just know that it is fast, accurate, and very pleasing to my ears! Thanks for your support of Lovebites!
the power of LOVEBITES - when a 7 1/2 minute song seems like 3 minutes - and leaves you wanting more. here's a link to one of their best songs from a few years ago with original bassist and band founder miho. you will most definitely want to see this one. excellent reaction , subscriber , if you're ready for the best thrash song ever written and played live 😊🐺 it's time to listen to Break The Wall LOVEBITES - Break The Wall - Live at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020
@@ChrisPage68 YOU are liar. ASAMI is "ONE AND ONLY VOICE" not influenced by "floorgasm" (small letters) in any way. ASAMI is so much better singer then "fj-floorgasm" (small letters). Also "nw" (small letters) are awful people UNLIKE ASAMI. "tuomas", "floorgasm", "empuu", "marko" are all MONSTERS of HUMAN RACE.
@@ChrisPage68 You must have imagine or dreamed that. Some singers singing ASAMI maybe liked, but not influenced her. Beside ASAMI is much better singer and also she write lyrics and play piano.

I can see the Gary Moore influence for sure.
MIYAKO’s achingly beautiful solo sounds like a tribute to Gary Moore.
Edge of the World is from Lovebites’s first album. Awakening From the Abyss.
Epic. One of their best masterpieces, fine art. I always get emotionally infectious by this song. Thanks bro 👍
My pleasure

The music speaks for itself so totally awesome lovebites ❤🎉😮
Midori💚💚💚💚💚
Thanks for the reaction! Not Nightwish, that part was Deep Purple.
You are right that is not catastrophic-awful "nw" (small letters). That part resemblance to DEEP PURPLE greatest song CHILD IN TIME.
@@VeljkoNikolic-is5px DO NOT slag off Nightwish. Asami cited Floor Jansen as an influence on her.

Gary Moore influence quite evident
ASAMI is "ONE and ONLY VOICE", GREAT Woman, Mother of a child. Writer of lyrics. Player of ballet. Play piano.
