We use the present simple when something is always true. For example, 'We always have potatoes for dinner'. However, in this example it's just for today's dinner and therefore temporary. So you can say, 'We are having potatoes for dinner'.

Could “Peas” come in singular form? If so, it’s quite easy to confuse with another word which is a verb “pee”.
