Problem is, with waiting times increasing, when you use your app, you're gonna say yes to the next available anyway. It's like winning a prize! By then you may not even need it, but your last minute cancellation won't do anything for someone else who did.
If you can afford to, get an appointment with a private GP such as Dr Sam White who practices functional medicine and addressing the root cause of your illness instead of throwing tons of pills at you. Costs less than a night out these dsys days and well worth the money.
And what about when you work 8am till 6pm, you contact the surgery they text message back saying use e-consult, then it's not open till 6pm, so you log-in at 6pm only to be thrown off at 6.05 because it's full?! That's 5minutes! Appointments are gone by the time you get thru' and I know the rules, I'm a gp receptionist but I cannot get the abx i need - so i ring 111 to be told a gp will ring me within 12 hours, then receive a text saying they won't be calling due to overload & close the case?!!!!!! This is in Bradford!
