When mirabel says good morning abuelo, abuelo means (Grandpa/grandfather) same thing for abuela (grandma/grandmother) and FYI when she says my tia pepa she says my (aunt) and when she my tio bruno she is saying my (uncle). That's why everybody has to pay attention. I get it if u don't speak Spanish but if she literally telling you and showing you her family tree like when she tells the kids of the painted mural like how can u not figure it out.

I felt like that scene doesn’t justify abuelas reactions; if anything it makes her behavior even worse. The whole family should adore Abuelo for his sacrifice, not use that in fear like Abuela does. But I guess that’s the whole point of the movie lmao

@@trulybre4528 exactly equally they overcome the family problems that have been unspoken for years. Things buried. A really deep movie from Disney once again; would love a sequel. I would love it to have like flashbacks maybe to struggles she’s had without Abuelo, and how in hindsight she should direct that pain elsewhere not onto Maribel or Bruno or the rest of the family.
