Ncila's mane looks darker and fuller. He's been on the fringe of the pride, but he's kept at it. His belly always looks full, he's getting stronger. Good to see.

I'm glad to see that Ncila is doing much better, his stomach is full, it's nice to see...Lambile looks skinny lying down but when he's sitting down, it's okay and he has a beautiful mane. It's sad to say but when Ncila💞was at his worst, Lambile💞was in good shape, always well fed, Lambile is the least confidant of the three and always ate after his brothers, I just hope he will quickly make a good meal and that Ncila will be able to find his brothers and stay close to them and that the three are united, they will need to be in top form if a danger presents itself to them... handsome Mandevu💞beautiful Mbiri pride💞 and Birmingham breakaway pride💞

This boy because of humans” has had the most awful of injuries to deal with, prior to that he was the dominant male with the tintswalo coalition”, I really hope this boy rises again, he’s a remarkable lion. Good to see him in ok condition. Thanks.

He looked so good when we saw him in September. I hope nothing’s seriously wrong with him. Great to see them all. Love that youngster that has no sibling. He always has such a serious, almost a bit of a sad look.

Nicole is looking really good considering what he went through. Lambile looks to me that he may have TB or something. Wonder if the vets should check him out.

Ncila, Mandevu and Lambile,
Three lion brothers of the Mbiri pride,
Ruling over their kingdom,
With power and might by their side.
But Ncila, the eldest of the three,
Was badly hurt by poachers' greed,
Leaving a snare that caught his neck,
Leaving him battered and in need.
Mandevu and Lambile,
Were not kind to their injured brother,
Ignoring his pain and suffering,
Leaving him to recover alone.
But Ncila was strong,
Determined to heal and thrive,
He fought through the months of pain,
To regain his strength and survive.
Yet even now, months later,
He's still not at his best,
But he perseveres,
Determined to overcome the rest.

Thanks for the video. I spent a fortnight in the Kruger back in the early 1980's, and had intended a return after retirement. But bad health has blocked that. Lucky me then, to live in this digital computer age, and to have access to your video safaris. Please keep them coming, they're quality therapeutics!

The Tintswalo males are my favourite coalition that is alive and one of my all times favourites on my list with the King of the Kings like Mapogos for example, Ncila is my favourite and an amazing dominant King and leader of the coalition but with his current injuries Mandevu is in charge which he is also one of my favourite lions. Ncila is one of my all time favourites kings of Lions and Mandevu is one of my all time favourites Kings of Lions. The Two great dominant Kings.

N'cila low, very low recovery seems to works but still a long way before he takes the lead again ... let's dream about that ! Lambila makes me very worry, how can he be so skinny as part of a successful hunting pride... he must be sick, hope a vet one day to take on him and check what is going on... dream again... but as it is Christmas time... 🤞
Yep - it's taken over a year for him to recover; however, he looks AMAZING! I don't know if he'll ever lead a coalition, but he's getting stronger every day. Let's see where he is in 6 months...

A male lion’s life is beyond brutal, constantly on guard to fight for survival, territory & propagating his genes. But it’s not nature that is savage. It’s men & their egregious & barbaric acts. Too bad that Ncila can’t devour the placid dicks that disfigured & have caused so much more pain & suffering for him. Hope for the best from r him & each member of his pride.

I know this question is probably getting redundant , The Red Road Male I haven’t seen or heard anything on since was it the water hole the line hippo resides at or when in the clearing the wild dogs ran by in front of them a hundred plus yard and normally wouldn’t one of you believe stated , Love Alistair saying as he does the red road make or whatever order he pronounces him , I know it’s getting a bit crazy out there and he’s a lone pride male , But has shown perseverance when there were doubts , I get out and love to hike out in our Ca countryside to the mountains since a kid a lot and been involved with wildlife as I stated before in NR’S , If anyones not to busy and has a moment by the lodge fire I would love to hear how that resilient boy is ? Good or bad it’s the way of nature , Have a Happy New Years guys and enjoy yourselves , Hope to come one day , Funny how a lot of the terrain there resembles many places I am running around ? Ncile is looking good, all he need is to continue to eat and his mane is growing back well, and by him being the most dominant and alpha male out of his brothers, one he get his full weight back then he will take his crown back from madevu, then hopefully he will lead them back into war for more territories to spread their jeans before they are dethroned

Hey Have a Happy New Year Guys ! The Pride or breakaways you were documenting minus the white lioness ? ( hunting liability) are the Birminghams correct ? The Birmingham 41/2 old male who hung around forever it seemed and was pretty resilient except the hind leg injury he endured from the Ross Brothers shortly after they ran off the lone Birmingham of the initial group that the namesake started ok , Does he still come and go with this group as he did through the the time the Ross took over that pride ? I had not heard anything regarding him and looked pretty hard ? He I last heard left on his own awhile back as this group you mentioned with a cub are trying to remain low key , Curious where the white lioness is too , I believe that’s the one I am inquiring about s sister , Sorry I feel like a Jain in the as.. asking as I am used to finding out myself but that’s obviously not possible here in Ca, I work in Natural Resources and the wildlife there is as different as ours may be to you guys or not ? So also the Ross brothers I believe are near ten now and how is their current condition ? A match still for the looming threat ? Poor cub doesn’t have a playmate YET to develop his or her hunting skills , Why are they lacking food ? I know they have a 30% success rate or depending on the pride and what their after right ? Have you figured out why in regards to the skinny state some are in ? Just curious , The three males are decent hunters right ? Whatever happened to their fourth brother ? Back when Red Road and them were battling I believe ? NOTHING EVER FOUND OR ANY FEEDBACK FROM OTHERS OUT THERE ? It seems that only Lambili is skinny and it may no be from lack of food. He might have TB. Ncili is the weakest one and his stomach is full. Ncili looks amazing and is a reflection of their successful hunting.
How many Birminghams were there? The young male is the youngest male of the pride born 2020 with a sister. Their mother has abandoned them recently to form the new breakaway pride with the Mbiris. She has new cubs already.
There's a video showing her introducing them to the pride. Such a great video. Shame she abandoned them; however, they are still protected by the pride.
