If you were standing on the moon during a luner eclipse you would basically see a solar eclipse of the earth, with a bright red ring around the earth

If you ever think you might have been wasting your time with life, just remember 17 people took the time out of their day to dislike this wonderful video.

You did an excellent job! It was beautiful. The woman’s calm voice (on the original clip) explaining the event as it progressed. The music was very tasteful, the wonders that were created for mankind are truely amazing.

That's really fascinating! where is that blue shades of moon ?

That's a good question, because the name is confusing. It doesn't really turn blue during a "blue moon". That's just the name given to the second full moon in a month. This eclipse is being called a "Super Blue Blood Moon" because there are three interesting things happening at the same time. It is a "super" moon because the moon is at perigee, the closest point in its orbit to the earth. It is "blue" because it is the second full moon in January, and it is a "blood" moon because that is another popular name for a total lunar eclipse. The "blood" part actually does refer to the color. The light from the sun passing through our atmosphere as the shadow of the earth is cast onto the moon gives it a reddish color. =D
